Sad to think an indiscreet BJ by ML for BC resulted in two unfunded wars and tens of thousands of needless deaths.

Monica might have been able to suck the chrome off a bumper, but there is no way those 30 seconds were worth what it ultimately cost this nation.

That's a lot of supposition.

And ignores the fact that Clinton went with "deny at all costs" instead of manning up and admitting that he did it. (looks into camera) "I want you to listen to me..."

That makes no sense whatsoever, unless you think that Monica gate somehow impacted Al Gore's inability to campaign very well.

I thought 2000 was the fault of Ralph Nader/Supreme Court/Florida Secretary of State. This is the first time I have heard it blamed on Monica.

Well this is all hypothetical, but it is interesting (to me if no one else).

Having said that...

Clinton was the sitting President, working with a budget surplus, and 23 million jobs created over his two terms in office.

Al Gore didn't use Bill Clinton to stump for him in 2000 because of the sexual scandal.

Just look at the enthusiasm Bill Clinton generated at the DNC this year and in Ohio following Sandy.

Are you telling me he couldn't have generated a few hundred votes in Florida for Al?

Regardless of the sexual scandal, not using Bill Clinton might have been Al Gore's biggest mistake.

The reason Al Gore lost was because Clinton got blown in the Oval Office, simple as that. Bush ran and won on "moral values".

Makes ya long for the good ol days when ol J.Ed Hoover would have locked this material up in his secret safe. For his use when he needed it.

So Petraeus is going to testify after all, just like nobody said he wouldnt.

I've got a feeling he is actually going to send an imposter in his place though. No proof, just a feeling. Might be an alien too

There's no way he was going to get out of it, so he might as well do it on his own rather than be subpoenaed.
