Rivera shows emotions at end of press conference.

barring any embarassing meltdowns i think he'll be back next season. i'm undecided, it seems like our players make a lot of mental mistakes that could be fixed with good coaching. at the same time, they haven't quit on him at 4-9.

Well, if you subscribe to this notion, it's his first "true" win. He beat a top level team without a scrub QB and/or coach. All the while by not sabotaging our double digit lead.

Is it enough to save his job? Doubt it. Probably has to win out, including against the Saints in NOLA.

If he is back next season he had best make it fuging happen. I'm sick of waiting and I'm pretty damn sure the rest of the fanbase is with me.

I teared up too. I felt really good for these guys. They deserved this. A guy is allowed to have emotions. Ron Rivera is a good coach. He is still learning but he is a lot better than a lot of you want to say. I think he needs a better coaching staff around him. Defense has been pretty great ever since Rivera took over the control of it.

All I'm gonna say is that big cat gave Seifert 3 years.

If we go 6-10 or 7-9 hold your breath peeps

I honestly don't think he's going to be here either way. How many new GM's keep incumbent coaches?

You don't count the loss to KC as an embarassing meltdown?

I am thrilled for this win for all involved with th Panthers.

At the same time, do you really think that Rivera could beat a Bellinchek? ...a Harbaugh? ...or any of the top tier teams with the season on the line?

I just don't see it.

I wish I could see it because who wants to start over again...but, I don't.

He has lost to every top tier team even with a chancce to win and he managed to lose to KC...you know that's almost unforgiveable.

I think he's a very good person who is way over his head at the HC level and no amount of wins in meaningless games will save him, nor should it.
