I haven't read the details, but it must be a big deal if these Republican figures are putting their own parties leadership on full blast.
Maybe. Or it could be that Christie and King and company are feeling political heat at home, and lashing out. But I can't imagine that a couple of days or even a couple of weeks would make that much of a difference given that FEMA is still there, still funded and still giving out money to those in need. And with the way the government normally operates, giving it to those that are not really in need as well.
Fwiw the issue is probably far more complex than the average citizen (or for that matter, the average congressman or governor) realizes.

Want to know how you can tell this happened to a largely rich, white group of people? Two pages and hardly one retreaded argument about how dumb people are living in hurricane zones.
to be fair, i don't think long island qualifies as a hurricane zone.
