All it proves is that blocking has MUCH more of an importance on returns. Holliday sucked with Texans. Awesome with Denver.
Or perhaps the texans did something dumb by cutting him

No, from what I remember, we brought him in for a visit. I never recall hearing of an actual offer. Money talks. I'm sure our staff were just checking him out but were completely happy with Armanti and Co. regardless. We tried to sign Jacoby Jones, he chose Baltimore. Fail.
We brought Donnie Avery in last year too and let him walk...

Umm, didn't Holliday return one for a TD against us in the preseason while he was with the Texans? All it proves is that blocking has MUCH more of an importance on returns. Holliday sucked with Texans. Awesome with Denver.
Point remains, we could've used either guy but sat on our hands.
We need to quit trying to turn players into something they're not and get a real return man instead.

We drafted one of the best. Turns out he sucks.

I'm not gonna lie, I am surprised Adams turned out to be as bad as he's been... Or at least not good. Wonder if it's a confidence issue, but regardless, I did not think of him as an ideal return man when we drafted him. He was good, but there were better. We drafted one of the best. Turns out he sucks.

Yeah, against a crappy ST unit.
What else did Holliday do for the Texans? Absolutely nothing. Which is why they cut him. Turns out it had more to do with blocking than Holliday.
You could have brought Hester in and outside of maybe this year, he would have done nothing on our ST unit. Our returner was getting hit as soon as he touched the football.

Maybe so, but it doesn't change the fact he did nothing for them because they couldn't block on returns. A returner isn't going to do anything on a return unit that is bad at blocking.
