It was literally on every Cinemax station at the same time this weekend. I figured they really wanted people to watch it.

It was a damn good show. It was pretty sweet. Basically if you want to watch a show where: (spoilers)
Badass gets out of prison, goes straight to bar,
bangs really hot bartender with huge tits,
Gets in high speed, action packed chase,
Goes to another bar, gets I. Fight, kills guy,
Steals indenty of new incoming dead sheriff
Becomes sheriff of small town
Gets in more fights
Reunites with hawt ex wife, who is also a badass
Bad guy is revealed
Kills bad guys henchmen
Rides off on motorcycle
Rock music...credits

It was OK...think they tried to fit too much in an hour.

I've heard a lot of "meh" reviews. I guess it's supposed to be a pulp show, even more so than True Blood since it was put on Cinemax. I may wait a bit before getting into it.
I think it filmed all around, the courthouse in Monroe, some places in Mooresville, etc.

Yeah the pilot made it seem like it wanted to be a very gratuitous and kitsch pulp show. I watched it mainly to look for local scenes - but it showed very little in terms of plot or character development.
I'll give it a few more episodes to see if it establishes an intriguing identity.

He was talking to the daughter near Franlkin and Graham, saw those two street signs. As was the lumber yard fight scene. Not the best part of town.
