No, I'd say it's more celebrating the continued choking of the team's (arguably) most bitter rival, a rival with loud-mouth fans and players who say they only lost because they "were bored." I don't find it sad in the slightest.

However, I do agree that it will be better to cheer on the Panthers when they get back to the playoffs.

I don't let the shittyness of the Panthers ruin my love for football.

It is actually quite refreshing to see some good coaching and consistent play every once in a while.

Of course we want the Panthers to get into the Playoffs. But if they don't, I root that the Falcons or Saints or the Cowboys, or the Patriots don't get to the Superbowl. With all of them gone, it is going to be a great Superbowl......
