Gil Brandt ranks Cam 7th best QB under 30

lol, he agreed to it. said he was working on it. showed he had workers on it. those working with him said as much.

again, get over it.

he's not perfect. he's got room for growth as a player and a man....just like anyone on or off the field. he's been growing.

So the kid shows some humility and that's gounds to project ur immature behavior towards him. Ur attitude and comments reminds me of a bully justifying his reasons for attacking a kid simple because everyone else is.

No matter what Cam sees within himself that he needs to fix, there is no grounds for the immature ridiculing of everything he does. Where is ur maturity? U said he's young but u keep finding reasons to criticize every dumb ish he does simply because Brandt say so.. Even worst, there is nothing that Cam is actuall doing that is worth attacking him endlessly over. Why should it bother u how Cam sit on the sideline? U seem more interested in wanting Cam to fix all the silly faults those like Brandt find but u seem to settle with the very little effort shown by the older guys on the Panthers to step up and show some real leadership to the team. That is why i call u a hypocrit. It seems like, u're intentionally using Cam as a scape goat because u know ur team is filled with a bunch of immature players but it's easier to attack him because folks is Brandt is making so.. Now that shows maturity.

Whether by selective camera work by the media or not, I still stand by the "more involvement" thing. No, I wasn't able to make it to a game this year and I'm going by just what I see through the TV.

I think I discovered your main problem.

I do see Cam shedding the pouting behavior after something adverse, which is wonderful. But I have never seen him looking at pictures, film, talking with coaches, etc on the sidelines.

That is what I want to see from my young quarterback. Maybe I need to get to a game in 2013 to see that.

Only fans who sit and entertain the media and their endless spins wonder why their team isn't in play-offs and SB bound. As I said before, Cam should have been playing for a team outside of the South. Way to much smalled minded thinking surround this young man.

FYI, the camera will show you what the media want to sell you.

Shhhhh...Don't tell them that. Let them keep buying what the media is selling.

Unless you're speaking about when you're at the games, I call BS on this.

Cam always looked over film and sat down with Shula from day one (win or lose).

However, the media created this false image of Cam, by showing him on the sidelines with his towel (which he does regardless of how the game is going or how he's doing), while they show other QB's talking to their teammates and coaches. Cam was no different. However television chose to show him sitting alone. Of course, as of late they show him more now with his coaches. But that doesn't take away from the fact that he had did this before.

Now Cam is not perfect. However, many of the things he gets called on, other QB's do the same thing and it never gets brought up or mentioned. That's what some Cam backers have a problem with.

The leader thing is overrated as well. If the Panthers had a real head coach (Rivera is learning his job more than Cam actually), the leadership would start from the top and everyone on the team would know their roles and place. It's easy to be a leader when your team is winning and you have stability at the top from a head coach who knows what he's doing and is in control of his team. Rivera was not, and the job, both on and off the field got away from him.

Remember, Rivera himself has mentioned to the media, that he should have hired a former HC to help him out with the job. How do you expect Cam to be a leader, when the Head Coach doesn't know what's he's doing, and the team is losing or underachieving? It's not the same.

This is all bull. I havent been brain washed by the media.

I've watched quarterbacks like Brady and Peyton and Rodgers do everything besides go straight to the bench after they come off of the field. Peyton especially. He is always talking with his coaches and O-line and receivers and standing up, watching his defense play.

I am 24... basically the same age as Cam. I have matured so much from the time I first started working full time around 3 years ago. I can only imagine how difficult the NFL is for a young 21 year old. I HAVE watched Cam mature over the past 2 years. He's getting older and gaining experience- much like everyone in the work force.

    • To me this off-season it makes the most since to keep CAP or Foz if it comes down to those two. CAP may be average, but that's as a 1st and 2nd down back which CMC, & Whit are not at this point from a full time perspective.  CAP is the best option to maintain a physical runner in the event (likely-hood) Stewart has to miss a couple games as he tends to each season.  I think it's common sense at this point. If we look at Stewart for what he is ''right now'' aside from pass protection there is not '' a lot'' that really separates him from CAP in my opinion, a few years ago it was a bigger gap, but at this point in Stewart's career he's becoming just a power runner, CAP is the closest we have to that.
    • Dummy, come on man.    Rivera and DG tanked that game for a high pick. You guys know nothing about running a team.    The question now is, do we as huddles think you're a decent poster anymore. Answer is "no".
