On October 8th, 2005 against the Philadelphia Flyers; Eric Staal recorded his first hat trick, on January 24, 2013 against the Buffalo Sabres; Mr. Staal recorded his 13th hat trick.
Since 2005, Eric has recorded the most hat tricks out of any player in the NHL. Congrats to Eric on that accomplishment and a job well done last night.
Note: Teemu Selanne of the Anaheim Ducks leads all active players in hat tricks with 22 and Hall of Famer; Wayne Gretzky holds the NHL record for hat tricks with 50.
