is cam really better against 3-4 defenses? how much better is he against them than 4-3?
it just seems interesting to me that the saints are wanting to make a move to the 3-4 and i wonder if they are seeing something that i'm not.
thanks.

because we have to play them twice a year?why does the saints switching to the 3-4 have to have anything to do with cam newton?

Cam has faced the following 3-4 teams this year:
Dallas
Kansas City
San Diego
So 1-2 for 2012
Did Denver run 3-4 this year?
2011 he faced:
Arizona
Green Bay
Houston
Once again. 1-2 for 2011
2-4 en total. So...his record against 3-4 teams is about as mediocre as his entire record as an NFL QB. Has more to do with the team than him, though.

The D choked and the refs fuged us against Dallas. We choked against KC. Smashed on San Diego. poo the bed against Denver, choked against AZ and GB last year, I don't remember the HOU game clearly.
I'd like to see Cam's stats in those games though. I think he played well individually.

i'd be very surprised if the stains are switching to the 3-4 solely to stop Cam
this.

19/33, 231 YDS, 2 TD - SD
15/27, 232 YDS, 3 TD - KC
28/46, 432 YDS, 1 TD, 3 INT - GB
13/23, 149 YDS, 2 TD - Hou
24/37, 422 YDS, 2 TD, 1 INT - Ari
I think redskins are 3-4 too and he beast mode against them twice

We also beat Washington this year and last. Denver runs a 4-3 base. We're 50% against 3-4. Bet the % is lower against 4-3's. But we've played more of those teams.

So...nothing too conclusive, IMO. I think the 3-4 would be more susceptible to the power run game, though. If we get that going next year, the Saints will be easy pickens.
