Pejorative Miscreant 2,379 Report post Posted January 30, 2013 Small school guy with potential. Saw his name as being an alternate at the Senior Bowl so I looked him up. Seems to be graceful for his size (320). Possible UDFA with an upside. Thoughts? http://www.youtube.com/embed/L3D6tAJCiUs?rel=
CaliPanthers 74 Report post Posted January 30, 2013 He played really good at the East West shrine game and then got invited to the senior bowl due to injury and looked good there too. I doubt he goes undrafted. Ive seen him in the 4th or 5th round range. I am definitely interested though. Has great athleticism and could play OG or OT. BigSyke 114 Report post Posted January 30, 2013 yeah actually if you go back to the east west shrine thread i already had mentioned him several times. glad you made a thread about him though. most say his draft stock has risen from udfa to about the 5th round, he did very good at the east west game but he was avg in the senior bowl where he gave up a sack on jones. his main weakness now is that he will get(bullrushed) pushed back into the qb a whole lot for hurries but he does not give up many sacks. i would start him off at left guard at first until he gets the hang of the nfl but i believe he could one day be a great left tackle. for a small scholl prospect this dude is off the charts. he has a high ceiling of potenial man. Might turn out to be a late round gem.
BigSyke 114 Report post Posted January 30, 2013 Terron Armstead, OT, Arkansas-Pine Bluff: The small school left tackle looked fluid in his kick much of the day and didn't allow defenders to get into his body. He seemed to show adequate strength when defensive ends tried to bull rush him and was able to fan some of the pass rushers wide in drills. I don't know if Armstead will be a starting left tackle in the NFL, but for teams looking for a swing tackle he could be a very interesting player. Armstead might be a candidate to kick inside and work as a pulling guard as well.

saX man 1,065 Report post Posted March 9, 2013 I want to bump this because I think he's one of the guys who makes a monster rise come draft day. Just a hunch based off of the offseason "performances" Not saying I want him but at the end of the day he could be a first round possibility imo

Just a hunch based off of the offseason "performances" Not saying I want him but at the end of the day he could be a first round possibility imo I think he's more likely to go in the second. Nevertheless, he has a lot of talent. Has really good feet and athletic ability but must get stronger at the point of attack. Although highly unlikely, I wouldn't be completely shocked if someone took a chance on him late in the 1st.

Other than Fisher Johnson & Joekel, there should definitely be at least 1 or more OTs taken in the 1st. Looking at Watson, Fluker, & Armstead, I see 2 of them going in the first from my perspective. I agree and based on everything I've seen I'd expect it to be Watson and Fluker but Armstead is right there as well. Definitely rooting for the kid. Kinda have a soft spot for small school kids, especially HBCUs. Terren Jones from Alabama State is another one to watch from the same conference. Big kid, almost 6-8, 340-pounds. Could be a mid-late round sleeper candidate at RT or also move inside to OG. He actually made 1st team All-SWAC over Armstead, who was a 2nd team selection.
