Pejorative Miscreant

Terron Armstead - Offensive Lineman

22 posts in this topic

He played really good at the East West shrine game and then got invited to the senior bowl due to injury and looked good there too. I doubt he goes undrafted. Ive seen him in the 4th or 5th round range.

I am definitely interested though. Has great athleticism and could play OG or OT.

yeah actually if you go back to the east west shrine thread i already had mentioned him several times. glad you made a thread about him though. most say his draft stock has risen from udfa to about the 5th round,

he did very good at the east west game but he was avg in the senior bowl where he gave up a sack on jones.

his main weakness now is that he will get(bullrushed) pushed back into the qb a whole lot for hurries but he does not give up many sacks.

i would start him off at left guard at first until he gets the hang of the nfl but i believe he could one day be a great left tackle. for a small scholl prospect this dude is off the charts. he has a high ceiling of potenial man.

i like him as prospect as well, around the 4th or 5th round.played at UAPB and will have to get stronger, but the feet and moves are there.

Was unaware his draft stock was that high. Might turn out to be a late round gem.

Terron Armstead, OT, Arkansas-Pine Bluff: The small school left tackle looked fluid in his kick much of the day and didn't allow defenders to get into his body. He seemed to show adequate strength when defensive ends tried to bull rush him and was able to fan some of the pass rushers wide in drills. I don't know if Armstead will be a starting left tackle in the NFL, but for teams looking for a swing tackle he could be a very interesting player. Armstead might be a candidate to kick inside and work as a pulling guard as well.

I want to bump this because I think he's one of the guys who makes a monster rise come draft day. Just a hunch based off of the offseason "performances"

Not saying I want him but at the end of the day he could be a first round possibility imo

I think he's more likely to go in the second. Nevertheless, he has a lot of talent. Has really good feet and athletic ability but must get stronger at the point of attack.

Although highly unlikely, I wouldn't be completely shocked if someone took a chance on him late in the 1st.

    • And to think this guy made it through 7 rounds and not one team wanted him.  Thank God Gettleman was on his "A" game and signed him here. Amazing how talent can bypass so many scouts, coaches and GMs. If they did a redraft.   What round would he go to?  Round 1?  He's a solid of a Guard as any in this league.
    • you do realize that $1M pledge he made was after he had received a ton of backlash and outcry from the media for sitting during the national anthem? He did hold his promise and has made some other donations as well, but before he decided to sit at football games, he didn't do jack poo for oppressed communities and the homeless, or any other charities for that matter. He was just a narcissist prima dona who so happened to play for one of the most talented teams in the NFL headed by one of the greatest coaches in the NFL. Him prospering early on in his career made him a cocky SOB who dressed like a thug during press conferences and treated the media like dog poo.  Yes people change, but he changed for the wrong reasons. His career was in turmoil, he was a declining NFL QB trying to stay relevant, so he thought up a rouge to get back in the spotlight by sitting. After he received backlash, he thought to himself "oh crap, I need to back up my words with some action. let me make a few donations to show the world I truly care about what I stand for"  the dude could give a rats ass about any of that poo. He didn't even show up to vote, and I don't think he's ever voted in his life. And I don't care about voting for the president, but at least vote for your local officials and congressman and for your states propositions. If he truly wants to have a voice and use the stage he has to inflict some serious changes in this country, there's a way to go about it, not seek attention for the wrong reasons just to resurrect your career.
    • I love Moton. The only thing that freaks me out about him is that he played for a small school. I do think he could've flourished for a big time program though.
