Speaking of tipping...

Red Lobster might really be in trouble this time. We just reported on how a waitress, Tori Christina Jenkins, received ‘None, N****r’ instead of a tip this past weekend from racist customers at the Franklin, TN Red Lobster where she works. Now, instead of standing behind Jenkins, Red Lobster has suspended her, citing a violation of company policy as the reason.

Horrible logic. One's 10% of his income the other is a percentage of his meal.

I hate tipping at the bar. The guy poors me a fuging shot and I'm suppose to pay him $1.00+ for that. I always do but I feel like I'm being duped by social pressures.  Wtf!

edit: now if i got a mixed drink or something else that's cool but a straight shot should be a smaller tip.

As fugged up as the actions of this racist piece of poo customer were, the company probably as a policy of not posting company information (the receipt is actually property of the company) on Facebook or wherever this showed up.

The waiter/waitress could have easily posted this and cut off the restaurant information off the top of the receipt and not run into problems with the company.

Had I picked that receipt off the table, I'm not sure how I'd react. I might get a few phone pics of the car, the license plate, the people and perhaps written a letter to the editor, some stuff like that.

It's their policy, so no problem with suspending her. I'd say it's worth it in the end.

Without question, it was worth posting this ignorant customer's comments online.

This whole thing stinks. You stuffed your face at their restaurant and took up their time in doing so, and I'm willing to bet you were extra demanding in the process... a lot of "excuse me, SERVER! Could I get some extra napkins? These ones have some small specks on them." Why do I assume this? Because I've seen these types of churchgoers out to eat and how they act, and because he made it a point to let the server know he was a pastor.

Furthermore, this guy was a dick for being ill informed and ignorant. If you're a pastor and you had the money to treat a large party to a meal, I assume you're a head or associate pastor... so where is your 10% going to? Yourself? Upkeep of your own building? So, why is he complaining about it? Also, Christianity doesn't require that we give 10% to anything. There's a reason Jesus went into the temple and started overturning tables and such... God doesn't want your money. Nor does he need it.

Just another social churchgoer with no heart for his fellow man.

I know the majority of The Tinderbox is non-religious, but that's just my two cents from my perspective on the believer's tip. Pun fully intended.

I doubt it would make it to this point, but I'm pretty sure they could find their answers through a forensic handwriting analysis.

From my amateur observation, I do wonder why he wrote "none" in all lowercase, but the slur is capitalized and half-cursive.

Man that poo don't work. If anyone looked at my signature on stuff they would say I forge all my checks and whatnot.
