Kenny Phillips Safety

Greg Jennings WR

I believe 2 free agent pick ups are what the panthers will reach for...nothing more and these are my picks

How would we even be able to entertain the idea of a Greg Jennings?

We have no money.

im assuming we make cuts and pay cuts as well. a 7-9 team surely has to have some kind of paycuts coming =)

If we actually wanted Jennings or Bowe the Panthers would find a way to get. Not worried about cap.

And cuts (major ones) likely will give us the ability to sign draft picks and maybe a scrub or two

Jennings will cost real money

No one for WR's? Cool, not address arguably our biggest problem on this team. Even if you draft one in the first round its highly unlikely they make an immediate impact because there are no AJ Greens in this draft class. If we don't address WR in a way outside of the draft we are going to be screwed again next season. Jennings or Bowe, because we HAVE to

Biggest need is Dt, o-line, and secondary. I don't remember a game where our WR's cost us the win. Can you say the same for the other position?

The real NFL is basically like Madden, so lets turn off the salary cap.

We could then sign Melton, Byrd, Wallace, Bowe, Jennings, Long, Levitre, Bryant and Dawson. Then we could force the Jets to trade Revis for Armanti.

Superbowl!!!!!!

Brandon Lafell, dropping a clear TD pass against Kansas City, late in the game. Coulda been the game winner.

And Lewis Murphy making several key drops, that could have busted some close games open this season.

Steve Smith slipping (not blaming him, but you asked the question-LOL), leading to the Newton INT, for the turnover during the Chicago game.

You said "realistic" targets, so "realistically" we can't really afford anyone.. Pass the blunt.

Realistically, it depends on the draft. I don't see us grabbing much beforehand rather releasing certain guys to fill the cap.

So depending on what we draft and cut, the targets could possibly be at other positions not considered.

WR: Julian Edelman, Donnie Avery

S: Will Allen, Kenny Phillips (likely to be mentioned a lot and some more)

I dont remember a game when our receivers broke out either cause we have no one who IS going to break out, Smitty is Smitty and everyone else is face value. We don't have any great talent at WR behind aging Smith. Murphy fugin sucks.

EDIT: LaFell is a solid #2 guy

realistic means not top dollar free agents like jennings and bowe but guys who are more affordable, middle of the pack, serviceable vets.
