As a side note, the city of New Orleans didn't really follow through on Saints fans' hopes of making Roger Goodell feel unwelcome. Guess they showed the same level of commitment to that they did to the "Free Payton" rally.

Thought it was cool that Goodell brought little Sam Gordon into his skybox. One of my friend's kids - a good youth football player himself, and not much older than her - didn't know who she was. I pulled her highlights up on my iPad and showed him. He was really impressed.

I actually made the joke to the people I was watching it with that I expected Sting to appear in the top row of the bleachers then rappel down a zip wire to the 50 yard line and whack someone with a baseball bat.
