I'm not familiar with him, but he's started every game for them for the last 3 years. He is obviously being released for a reason, but we OBVIOUSLY need some help in both starters and depth.

if it comes out that he had problems with stafford? Grab him! Never opposed to healthy and expierienced linemen for real though.

yeah it always drives me crazy too every offseason when posters enter every thread with comments like

"WELCUM TO THE OFFZEAZON!" and "AHAHAHHA HERE WE GO!!!" or some equally stupid variation

From PPF's ranking of O-Lines:

Stud: That was the best we’ve seen Gosder Cherilus (+26.3) look, but, like the line in general, a lot of that came courtesy of not giving up much in pass protection, as opposed to mauling guys in the run game.

Dud: The run blocking from Stephen Peterman (-8.4) was as good as anyone on the team, but it’s inexcusable for a guard in that passing attack to get beat for 45 quarterback disruptions.

Summary: They work well with their quarterback to ensure he’s largely given enough time to make plays in the pocket. They don’t work quite so well with their running backs. They’re far from terrible, and got a boost when Riley Reiff was in on the play, but, with the guys they have behind them, they need to do more.

do you know if they have a zone read style run offense or not?

Just trying to see if he would be better in a system similar to ours or not.

Now Godser Cherilous who is going to be a FA I can jive with. His over agressive play can cost a lot of penalty yards however.

I'm only in favor of signing Gosder if we can also get Zuul.

As to Peterman, reading the analysis of him makes me wary.
