The skill positions have great athleticism led by Transfer Martay Mattox who as a freshman committed to South Carolina. This kid is a stud, out of HS he was the #27 QB in country. He will likely play CB or WR at Charlotte
OL we added Tevin Lawshe of Mallard Creek, he just got a 4 star rating at rivals. He is very good and helps solidify the line.
Justin Bridges-Thompson signed as the #6 player in south carolina, he chose Charlotte over Wake Forest, Arizona and Pitt. He will likely play OLB for Charlotte

What was the point of that...
LOL idk, probably just another APP fan upset that they have to go to the Sun Belt... that has been the dumbest move in college football over the last few yrs

They had to make the jump. I don't think it was necessarily a dumb move. FCS is becoming a division for really small time schools.LOL idk, probably just another APP fan upset that they have to go to the Sun Belt... that has been the dumbest move in college football over the last few yrs
The Sun Belt is the bottom rung of FBS conferences (they've never had a top 25 ranked team...ever), but at least it is full of public universities with real college level facilities. Many FCS facilities are on par with what HS programs have.
Eventually all the schools outside the top 5 (maybe top 4 if ACC gets the BE treatment in the future) will probably become the new version of the FCS with their own championship. Have to imagine the schools will eventually become tired of playing in meaningless low tier bowl games. The championship tournament that starts in 2014 is stacked against those outside the top 5 conferences, so there is no hope of programs from CUSA, MWC, MAC, SBC, or the AAC (the new name for the old Big East) competing for a national championship.
The biggest problem with FCS as it stands today is there is too much disparity between the top and bottom programs. Some programs have huge budgets and great facilities while those at the bottom are not serious about being competitive. Everyone in CUSA, MWC, MAC, SBC, and AAC have made serious investments in athletics. It would make for a great division itself if the top 5 conferences ever break away.

App didn't have any other options since CUSA was dead set on adding schools located in large media markets, regardless of past success or football tradition. By the way, that sounds like a recipe for a great conference!
FCS is dying and Tensor summed it up pretty well. Realignment isn't over and App will have a shot at joining a more regional conference in a few years I bet. It would be in App and UNCc's best interest to play eachother. Judy Rose just needs to get off her high horse.

I think that could be a great rivalry, but there is little to gain for Charlotte playing APP, much like UNC wont play any of us because it hurts more than it helps. If they were to ever lose to us it looks bad for recruiting
