Grindhouse Killer Burgers and George's, both in Atlanta. I don't remember very many remarkable burgers during the 24 years I lived in Raleigh and Greensboro but I don't think I've been to any these places that you guys have mentioned.

mmmmmmm.....Frontier hot dogs.

Eat them and smell like onions all day long.

Merritts on Carolina Beach Rd are pretty good for drive-in burgers. Henry's makes a good burger. But, honestly, the ones I make at home are the best.

Back in the olden days, Davids Deli made the Big Daddy Super Burger. It pwned.

Melvin's in Elizabethtown, NC circa 1990.

I can't say anything about that timeframe, but Melvin's is too real.

The Five Guys in Mayfaire and the now extinct Cubbies in Ogden, both in Wilmington, come to mind.

Also, one little place in White Oak, NC called Cain's. Just a tiny burger joint on the side of the highway, and it is beyond delicious.

No idea what highway, but it's sorta close to the whole White Lake/E-Town area. A few miles down from there I believe.
