Found a pretty nice site that keeps up with player statistics but also seperates them from country. Here's USA: http://www.quanthock...2-13-stats.html
Also who do you think are the current top American players? Here's my list:
Centers
C1: Ryan Kesler
C2: Paul Stastny
C3: Joe Pavelski
C4: David Backes
C5: R.J. Umberger
Wings
W1: Zach Parise
W2: Patrick Kane
W3: Phil Kessel
W4: Bobby Ryan
W5: Dustin Brown
W6: Erik Cole
W7: Brian Gionta
W8: Drew Stafford
W9: Ryan Callahan
Defensemen
D1: Keith Yandle
D2: Dustin Byfuglien
D3: Ryan Suter
D4: Jack Johnson
D5: Matt Carle
D6: Alex Goligoski
D7: James Wisniewski
Goalies
G1: Jonathan Quick
G2: Ryan Miller
I think USA has a good shot at the gold in the 2014 Olympics. A lot of great american players currently in the NHL. Can't wait. Hope we kick Canada's ass. fug you Crosby.

Gleason in his prime is on that list for defenseman and Faulk in two years or so will be on that list.

One guy you are missing is JVR, he is an absolute stud.

Yea if you want to make a list about what it will look like in the future, I see him and Derek Stepan and T.J. Oshie all with a strong possibility of making the list. And the list is only mine, so it's not "the" list so to speak.

I'd also say that Craig Anderson will be the #1 followed by Quick/Miller.

Forgot to mention, don't forget about Jason Pominville, he was born in Quebec but holds dual citezenship in the states. He will most likely get a look from team USA.
