La Canfora reported that the 49ers have told inquiring teams that they have completed a trade, but it cannot be finalized until the league year officially begins on March 12.
The other team involved in the trade wasn’t immediately clear. La Canfora speculated that the teams that make the most sense would be the Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars. Yahoo Sports’

It's not Jacksonville, since GM Caldwell said "it's not us."

Mary Kay Cabot is also reporting it's not Cleveland either.

So unless Caldwell or Cabot's source are lying, you can take them out. Now we just need to see if Alex Smith is scouting out houses in the KC area in the next 2 weeks.

KC has to know what they are getting when they trade for this guy. He is a system QB. It's gonna be interesting to see if he can be successful in KC if this is in fact true.
