Things are progressing smoothly so far with Gettleman at the helm. Expecting more cuts and restructures in the coming days-weeks.

Stop with all the cut gamble nonsense. They want to keep him.

I agree.

I don't think they are necessarily planning on keeping Gamble. If they keep him till after March 12th they can shop him. If we got something crazy like a third for him that would be a world of difference than just cutting him.

I don't think he makes the roster come kickoff.

If we were to get a solid trade, we would part ways. Otherwise, what incentive do we have to create another BIG hole on our team? There aren't any good CBs out there that we can get for cheaper than Gamble. We can find other ways to clear some cap room than cutting one of our top players.

How about 7.8 million incentives? Gettlemen may have a CB in mind come draft or FA and Gamble has been injured quite a bit as of lately.

I'm not arguing he's not a good player or that it wouldn't create a hole, I'm just speculating on a possibility of why he could be taking so long when we all thought that would be one of the first cuts.

Like I said, we can clear some money elsewhere without cutting him. My speculation on why it is taking so long is because he isn't going anywhere.

And yes, I hope Gettlemen does address CB in the draft or FA too. I doubt the FO thinks it is a good idea to go into a season with our CBs being Dockery, Thomas, and some mid-low level FA.

No brainer here. Cutting an often injured 34 year old DT and saving 2.5 mil was a easy decision.

    • a neonazi event without advocacy of violence is an oxymoron. nazism is the advocacy of violence, it's a core principal of the ideology. it's a genocidal ideology, which promotes the murder of innocent people based on their race. i don't need the respect of neonazis. i hope you absolutely fuging hate me. here's the organizer of the "free speech rally."
    • I don't blame anyone for not bothering to vote given the depressingly comical choices, and the overall current state of voting in general. Honestly the voters that pat themselves on the back because they were rewarded with an "I voted" sticker like a little kid that just got a piece of candy for merely doing what they were told just because they voted for another round of empty suits are a big part of why our political process is one pitiful rehashed song and dance with only the letters besides the names changed. The Americans that spend their time trying so desperately to defend and kiss up to the rich elite thinking they'll one day join the cool kids club like they see with Donald Trump who says and does whatever he wants are in for a very rude awakening sooner rather than later.
