An argument can be made for the City, giving "something", but for the state it's not a good investment.

Chiquita got $22 million from the city AND state to relocate here from Cincy. That was for an estimated 400 jobs. Siemens got $22 million from NC for their expansion in Charlotte. What did they add, a few hundred jobs? The Panthers should get state and local funding.

Jobs are jobs. See Obama's infrastructure plan. He doesn't distinguish between temp jobs and full time jobs.

That isn't helping your case :)

Strong logic here.

First of all, assholes, Pat McCrory is no longer mayor of Charlotte. He's governor of NC.

Second of all, the state has no business funding private enterprise.

No city should have to help out more than a 1/4 of the cost of any stadium/upgrade. In this case about 67 million sounds fair. But, that is not how business works and for the government to control it would cost more for tax payers to keep it, so in the next few short years the Panthers probably will move.

Pat Mccrory is a dick-less, spineless, breast fed, backstabbing, corporate slave in a fuging suit. Like I said, enjoy that increase on your power bill every month. He'll have no problem giving Duke energy what they want, he'll get on his knees for those frauds.

Taxes are too high so we should give the Panthers money and also I hate welfare.

I have a very coherent argument I think you'll find.

Charlotte [and in turn, the state] would be no where as big today if it wasn't for the panthers. That is indisputable. The state SHOULD help fund the renovations. Its an investment not a gift.

Care to post specific points here? Or just throwing out wild accusations?

The only time I've ever heard of Charlotte outside of the Panthers is when they would introduce Ric Flair when I was 10.

Sweet Charlotte can give them some money, not the entire state.
