I still want Hopkins, but if we think Allen is the guy then so be it.

I'm assuming he meant Richardson whom I grow to resent with each lazy mock I come across where he's pegged to go to us. Its driven me to paranoia.

Johnson isn't gonna be there at 14. Not sure about Star.

I agree, both will be gone but those are the two guys that have a remote possibility of being there that I would pass on Allen for.....

Ran a 4.71 and 4.75....do not want. We struggled last year because receivers couldn't get open, we don't need to add a injury plagued slow receiver, that's Dwayne Jarrett speed.

Lol.

Oh my gosh guys! His 40 time!

And, just for the record, his official 40 time was a 4.67, with doctor stating prior to the workout that the muscles in his leg were only at 75%

Frankly, I don't often bother with people who are willing to evaluate prospects on the unquestionably most meaningless scouting exercise of the offseason, but I figured that if you were going to post something like that, people should at least know it's inaccurate lest they actually believe what you said.

I look at Hopkins and all I see is a poor man's version of Allen. Sure would be nice to have a future first round QB with a cannon throwing me the ball over the college football equivalent of drunken Joey.

Yes, Joey. From Friends. I saw it a few times.

I will say the great thing about 40 times is that there is always multiple ones that come out besides the official time. It's great for finding out who has an agenda. Not just in the media, but on the Huddle.

If a guy wants to take a guys worst 40 time and run with it regardless of its validity, you know that guy has some dumb axe to grind.

If a guy takes a player's best regardless of its validity, you know he's in full salesman mode.

Pretty useful tool for separating the turds from the talkers here on the Huddle.

Hopefully this makes him fall into our lap in round 2.

Scouts are raving about the day he had. Why would that take him from the mid 1st to a mid 2nd?

Something doesn't add up in your logic.

Allen is bigger, runs infinitely better routes, and can without question play all three receiver positions.....

I want to know where its written that a receiver has to have elite 40 time to be number 1 receiver. Smh, If the fan base was making decisions on acquiring talent we would still be in the hole were in now.

If he caught everything that was thrown at him (he doesn't), then I would be ok with his 40 time. Unfortunately he body catches a lot of balls and has concentration drops. He has excellent balance and body control, but I wouldn't take him at 14. Boom or Bust prospect.
