charles johnson WR Grand Valley st. 6'2 215 pounds running a 4.3 40. 39 inch vertical, 6.9 3 cone, 4.31 short shuttle, 11-1 broad jump. last 2 years stats are 128 catches, 2200 yards, and 31 TDs. i doubt he makes it out the draft being undrafted but our scouts where on hand at his pro day.

Those are some impressive measurables and stats. Wonder why he hasn't gotten any press? If we dont get a WR in the earlier rounds I would love it if we took a flier on him. Another later round WR Id like is is Marquess Wilson. He is 6-3 194 and was really good before he walked out on the team to stand up to Mike Leach.

i love the way Wilson high points the football, i think he is the WR to do that. he will go up ****** the rock with ease.

I would love to see McCalebb in a Panthers uni too, but I'm biased being an Auburn guy. :)

Speaking of undrafted guys, I was looking around and saw Cris Carter's son, Duron Carter, brought up in a story on nfl.com. The TL/DR version is he basically pissed away college and was a spoiled brat. He's been working with his dad since he gave up on school, and from the magic of youtube (and looks like imovie), he looks interesting. I see a lot of his dad in this very limited, and very edited (poorly) piece.

Youtube:

NFL.com story: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000162832/article/cris-carter-says-son-duron-can-be-nfl-wide-receiver

I'd be interested to bring him in on a FA deal, see if he can play the part. Some of the video is kind of reminiscent of dad's body of work. Long, strong hands. This would be one that I would be interested to see in pads for camp.

@evansilva: Montreal Alouettes college scouting director @RussLande to @CaplanNFL: "Duron Carter's already better than half the NFL's wide receivers."

He made his debut with the Alouettes on August 24th. In that time he has already registered 46 rec 816 yards and 4 TD's. He's 6'5", 205lbs. I'd like to see him add some more muscle but maybe he's worth a look. I wish I could tell you how he's looked but I'd choose death over watching a CFL football game.

No.

The kid didnt even make the PS with his dad's former team. The only way he even got looked at by the Vikes was bc of his dad. All 31 other teams passed up on his ass.

Maybe the dude is fit for Canadian football. Nothing wrong with that. I seriously doubt he could cut it in the nfl though.

If he makes enough noise in Canada this season, he might get another offseason look from someone.  It could very be that he's better suited to play in the CFL instead of the NFL.  Or it could be he just needed a little bit of seasoning before he was ready for real football.

Who knows, its a long season a head for us and him.

    • I'm somewhat concerned over Cam's shoulder - but the LB group really has me worried. Luke's concussion really has me freaked out still... and I pray that TD's ACL continues to be strong.
    • The best part about trying to discuss racism or privelege with people is how when you mention these terms they immediately go to "I've worked for everything I ever had, nothing was ever handed to me", demonstrating that they don't understand what privelege is and how it's not an accusation. And instead of listening to what you say, they're in defensive mode and spend the entire argument denying that they are racist, dominate the conversation, and don't learn anything, and you never even accused them of being a racist to begin with. It's exhausting.
    • The KB hate is ridiculous. Blaming him for hogging targets that should have gone to Ginn? First of all, Ginn had more receptions and yards in 2016 than 2015. Sure he went down in TDs, but I'd expect KB to always have more TDs. Second, how do people forget that in his first game back from ACL that he was our best offensive weapon against the vaunted Denver D? We scored 20 (should have been 23) points against Denver with KB and 10 in the SB without and our offense was actually -5 based on turnovers.

It gets tiring to see the revisionist history trying to blame KB for our offensive drop because he was a target hog.

I'll throw out that if KB played in the SB we would have won. In 3 games against Denver Cotchery and Ginn had 7 receptions for 96 yards and caused an INT/muffed a huge pass before the step sack for a TD, regardless of replay officials. In 1 game against Denver KB had 6 receptions for 91 yards and a TD.
