Tyler Eifert and Xavier Rhodes were in the mix?

considering we made the pick in 30 seconds, i think star was about the only one "in the mix"

Rhodes makes sense, but Eifert? I don't get that at all.

For the record gettleman did say that there were 3 on the board they were considering but declined to give person the names. I guess he found them elsewhere.

I get the TE angle. In fact, I like the idea over getting a WR (not at all a fan of this WR class). Two nasty TEs in this offense would be tits. But getting Star was a no brainer in this situation. I would have flipped a lid if we went with Eifert over him at 14.

TE makes sense over WR, but I can't watch tape and find that the two players are all that equitable. That Eifert and Rhodes were the next two guys? Maybe. Floyd gets overhyped. But equal players? No. Even so, luckily the need was the best player.

    • They would never because they're not be gonna admit they missed a call. They only admit it once heat is on them and even then, it's a half assed admission. We better not hold our breath on this one.
