1. Luke KuechlyCarolina Panthers In 2011, the Panthers found their offensive quarterback of the future in Cam Newton. A year later, they did the same on the defensive side of the ball with another first-round draft pick. Kuechly, who just turned 22, led the NFL in tackles as a rookie with 164, and he's an able run and pass defender. He's a very good athlete with toughness, instincts and leadership qualities to boot. The Panthers have the makings of an excellent front seven, and Kuechly will navigate the ship for years to come.

I hate everything ESPN puts out so I will reserve comment. I can't rip them when they say we suck and praise them when they say we're good. ESPN can suck it. That said, I agree with those morons on the above post.

It's not going to take until 2016.  Hell, it may happen this coming season.

Eat poo and die, Patrick Willis.  Your reign of terror on the NFC, and NFL, is over.

yea it's not going to take till 2016....thats 4 seasons. not the way the guy played his rookie year without even starting at the mike in the beginning and still learning with nfl offseason workouts. If he remains healthy i give it not this year but next but definitely 2015 unless some stud comes out of college.

I'm assuming now no other LB's will come into the league and be top 10 worthy for 3 years.

Well I believe Jadeveon Clowney is at (or near) the top of the list for pass rushers, so it takes at least some of those individuals into consideration.

    • My worry isn't coming off the bench vs starting, it is Clifford playing him PERIOD. Clifford is absolutely terrible about giving young guys the burn they need to develop. Even when you had guys like Bismack looking like they were on the verge of figuring things out and averaging some great numbers per minute, Clifford wouldn't know what to do with them. Granted we haven't always had the best of young or rookie talent around here but NOTHING Cliff has done in his time here tells me he knows WTF to do with a player that isn't a 5 year vet. And seriously.. nothing against the MAN, he seems like a great person, but I'm 1000% done with the MKG experiment. He has taken up a roster spot long enough. Ill take someone that plays 3/4 of his defense and can actually put the ball in the bucket once in a while. Or, ya know, get the other team to play A LITTLE defense on them. His presence has gotten the idiot gm to overlook several FAR BETTER prospects over the years just because we don't want to admit he is a total BUST for where he was drafted. WAY TOOO MUCH EGO is wrapped up between the front office and MKG and its choking the life out of this franchise at times.
    • Na, he'll probably get picked in next years Draft.  Next years Draft is so bad, they even have Pinson getting Drafted
    • I keep seeing this and totally disagree.  Moderation in unhealthy things is not key. Moderation in processed meats is the same as moderation in cigarattes. Both could ultimately give you cancer and kill you. Same with dairy. Dairy is closely associated with prostate cancer due to the estrogen in milk, even skim milk.
