Very good deal for both teams.  This team may actually be enjoyable to watch!

By: Brett Pollakoff

"Jefferson is one of the most consistent offensive players in the game, and his level of production inside, along with his size is what makes him worthy of these types of dollars. He’s averaged at least 17.1 points and 9.2 rebounds per game in each of the last four seasons.

Only six other players in the game match up to those numbers, and that list is fairly impressive."

The Lakers had the top two players on that list and barely made it into the playoffs... The coaching is obviously to blame.

Another thing about his rep of playing no defense, I for one don't think Patrick Ewing is gonna stand for it. I doubt Big Al has ever been coached by someone like Ewing.

EDIT: I guess he was coached by McHale for a little while in Minny..but he also had his best year that season

Averaged 20&10 that year under McHale. Hopefully some foreshadowing there.

We could potentially have the 1st, 9th, and 13th picks in next years draft...

So it is top 12 and top 8 protected correct?

I like what the BuzzCats are doing, hopefully all this can translate to wins sooner rather than later.

Even with the addition of Jefferson, you also have to factor in the loss of Mullens.  I don't see us winning 30 games next year, and I am fine with that.  I think it will improve Kemba and MKG, and have Zeller focus on what he's best at with the P&R

We will have a top 6 pick next year, and who knows what Cho will do come the trade deadline or draft day.  There is a lot of time before the 2014 draft.

So step away from the ledge, anybody who is clamoring about being out of the big names

You can't be serious..

First pick: Andrew Wiggins/Jabari Parker/Marcus Smart/Andrew Harrison

9th/13th: Glenn Robinson III, Mitch McGary, Dante Exum, Aaron Harrison, James McAdoo

or package it to move up a couple spots in the draft

or package for a proven veteran

I just felt like Mullens was a contributor last year

I'm glad we didn't bring him back because he was defensively inept and couldn't rebound to save his life, but he provided some nice scoring

I wasn't saying if we had Mullens we'd be a playoff team
