So you agree that as of today comparing the two is a wash? The exact opposite of what you said earlier..

Yeah Green is definitely a 3pt specialist. He really just got hot at the right time, if you really look at his game he can't create his own shot and when he gets pressured on defense he is not effective. He gets most of his shots coming off screens. Playing against Dwade was a great matchup for him because Wade had the knee issue and he could easily get open looks off the screen from the bigs.

Jai is right Danny Green is just in the perfect system for his 3pt shooting.

Green is perfect for that system, in the same way that Gary Neal is perfect for the system, how many teams are lining up to pay him right now? He's being humbled, as we speak.

On another roster, barring, maybe, Miami, he's no where near as effective.

Coach Popp is a fantastic coach, man, he really squeeze's everything out of his players.  He deserves all the credit for these guys.

And I'll give Green a little bit of credit bc like what Jai said he demands two defenders. But that's it. Nothing more.

Exactly. I was just about to mention Neal too.

Green isn't a bad player, at all.  Barnes has higher ceiling, but you also have to take into account the TEAM around these individual players. Green has an advantage that Barnes doesn't, he has a big that demands a double, so the spacing, ball movement, and they play some selfless basketball, for a basketball purist, watching the spurs is like watching poetry in motion.  Comparing skill sets though, Barnes is a better athlete, he already has the mid-range game that is a lost art in the game.  The 1-2 dribble pull up, Barnes has all that.   Green is blessed to play in that system, just like Barnes is blessed to be the 3rd option on his team.  Ceiling wise, Barnes takes the nod, but as of today, it's a wash with those two guys, they have similar roles, at this point in their careers.  Green did absolutely nothing with his first  few stints in the league, where as, I feel like Barnes would've stuck with those same opportunities.

Potential - Barnes

I agree. And the thing I see is that Barnes can play in the post/paint, has the mid range, behind the 3 mark, and can drive to the basket. When I look at Green, he's solely a 3 point specialist.

nope.

Then why did you agree with him or did you ignore that part? of course Barnes is going to be a better player long term, that's obvious he has tons more potential. However he did say that today it's a wash.... lol

When their careers are over, Barnes will be much better, he has better size, which will allow him to play in the post, back to the basket, once his handle comes around, he'll be so much fun to watch, I won't lie to you guys, the top 2 guys I wanted in that draft were as follows :

My board for the cats looked like this....

1. Drummond

2. Barnes was a close second

3. MKG

4. Lillard(im a big Kemba fan, but even Ray Charles could see, that this kid was special.)

We still comparing Barnes to Green or is this back to being MKG vs Barnes?

I wouldnt agree on that part.

But if you really think that Green is even close to the player Barnes is then quit whatever you're smoking or better yet, share some with us.

Barnes and Green, as of today, their a wash, they do the same things, they nail open shots due to the focus not being on them, and crisp ball movement, and especially, SPACING.
