Name Change Already Having Major Impact

19 posts in this topic

My 6 almost 7 year old has only known the Bobcats and has been to many games. He's upset about the name change. I however am happy.

I'm confident he'll grow to love the Hornets.  At that age, if he's familiar with the players, it will definitely help with the transition.  No kid can resist Hugo with "Charlotte" across his chest.

"Son, the Bobcats suck. Now put on this purple Hornets shirt and go play."

It wasn't the only reason I became a season ticket holder this year, but it was a major one for sure. After supporting the movement, it only seemed right. Still looking forward to this season, but I'm already imagining opening night as the Hornets and it gives me chills. Can't wait.

How awesome is this?

Here's a picture of Bobcats forward Jeffery Taylor when he was only seven years old rocking a Charlotte Hornets outfit! Oh how life works in mysterious ways...
