While at the same time signing bills that demonstrate North Carolina didn't learn a damn thing from the South's mistakes going back to the civil war and vowing to move itself back into the 19th century.

yep, the actual reason he vetoed it was because it would have been thrown out for legal reasons anyways

So that makes him smart?

no hes smart anyways. He already is going to have VoterID legal battles, he doesn't need this one too. It's not like the Tea Crazies are going to go Dem next election, all he needs to do is keep the base happy and the opponents as docile as possible, Art Pope will take care of the rest.

if i was a NC voter, this wouldn't make me vote for him, but whether or not this was to avoid a court case or not I still think it's a good think he veto'd it...
