Just saw Packer fans talking about picking him up after they released Vince Young

You could certainly do worse than backing up Aaron Rodgers.

I think my best Jimmy Clausen memory was drafting him.  After that, there was nothing but disappointment.

That wasn't a good one for me. I hated the pick.

Felt better about the draft once they got LaFell, but still wasn't all that happy.

When I heard they had been trying to trade up to get him... oy :(

Supercuts probably being the most notable. Maybe the long TD pass to Gettis?

Long TD pass to Gettis? I think you got drunk and dreamed that one

Oh man if they had dumped their 2011 first round pick to get him...lord have mercy.

I liked the pick.  I thought Matt Moore had potential but since they had the chance to draft Jimmy I thought it was a good move.  For competition at least.  Clausen is going to be a backup somewhere.  Dare I say it, I think we'll see him start a game somewhere this year.  My money is on the New York Jets.

Team would have to be a train wreck to make him a starter at this point.

The Jets certainly do qualify.

You saw my prediction.  Clausen starts for the Jets when the Panthers play them, and has a career game.  It would make sense on so many levels.

Except for the part about a Jets QB having a great performance

My favorite Clausen memory was when after we drafted Newton, some butthurt huddler made a "highlight" video to prove us wrong about him. The highlight video includes him throwing basic slant routes and wide open receivers. That thread was fuging amazing.

The day he was benched and Tony Pike went in.  It was the game I embraced our awfulness and decided to try and enjoy the comic relief that was the 2010 Carolina Panthers.
