Yea, more than likely we will come away with a win in Buffalo, thats all well and good BUT if we win on Sunday, the game against the Giants could have huge implications on our future and have a domino effect that could change this ball club in a drastic manner.

Yes I know your initial reaction will be its only week 3 and still 13 games left to play. But its bigger than that. We have beat teams like Buffalo before. Jacksonville in 2011, Raiders of last year etc. Sure you can argue the Bills are better than those teams but thats not the point. The point is if we are 1-1 heading into week 3 against the Giants, it is a must win game. So what does beating the Giants mean? Well for starters it means we have won two games in a row, when the games actually still matter and we did it against a top tier team like the Giants.

Doing this will put to rest the notion that A. Panthers cant beat good teams and B. The Panthers cant win when it matters and C. The Panthers will be abve .500 for the first time in years. Going 2-1 at the bye will be a HUGE step and that frankly is an understatement.

If we lose to the Giants it will A. Show that nothing has changed whatsoever, we beat the bad teams and get beat by the good ones. B. The same ole Panthers cant win the big ones when it matters and C. We will have a losing record at the bye 3 years in a row.

Sure we might get incredibly lucky and beat bad teams en route to a 9-7 record, but frankly, would we even deserve it? Then again, who knows. Maybe we are 1-2 at the bye then come back and go 12-1 to finish out the season and in that case this post will be rendered pointless.

I feel like I am looking ahead to the Giants game already which is not good. If we lose to the Bills, I will go batshit crazy. But I see that as more of a test than the Bills. Giants are on the decline anyways so maybe it might not be such a good test.

I'll worry about the giants game in week 3. Road game at the bills is no gimme.

yup. if rivera is worth his poo as a motivator it'd better feel like a goddamn NFC championship game in that lockerroom and on the field.

Right now we have to beat the Bills and put us .500 going into Giants game........I'm betting the players are going play this game with a lot of heart. This was  Cam's melting point from last year. I'm betting he puts up #'s like he did against the Falcons and the team overall has dominant game.

Could very well be two "0-2" team fighting for a first win of the season in BOA next Sunday. That's if we lose to the Bills and I'm taking Peyton over Eli on Sunday.

If they lose to the bills the season is over IMO. If they can't beat Buffalo, who can they beat? If they lose they will be 0-3 at the bye.

This is a game they are expected to win. I'm already looking at the Giants game. They need to finally beat a team worth mentioning and even though the Giants may be 0-2 next week, it's still a good team.

I think 2-1 is a must at the bye week in order to think the post season is a realistic shot. Some of you may agree some may not just my opinion.

We need to beat buffalo and be 2-1 at the bye, if not then I don't think well be making the playoffs this year

Buffalo is the sort of team we need to beat for me to believe we're finally turning the corner.  The rampant asstardery of the Seahawks game will leave a bitter taste in my mouth for some time...

...and I'm still bitter over the GD Giants abortion from last year.

When we get above .500 for the first time since you know what happened, I'm buying drinks. Tell me when and where.

Looking very similar to last year. We lost the first game 16-10. Won the next game 35-27.And then the Giants just demoralized our team and fanbase to a point of no return.
