You can add Gatson to the ex-Chargers in Carolina list, although since he was a rookie last year there was no crossing paths with Rivera. He was on the 53 for the last 2 weeks in '12, but nothing more than an ST role.

Correction, he did decent in man coverage against D1AA receivers with D1AA quarterbacks throwing.

Do you know where Josh "Whoopie Cushion" Norman went to school?

In my opinion, Deandre is better than Norman simply because of his speed and his ability to process information. Majoring in English is no easy feat, especially if your concentration isn't on teaching. Coach the man up and put Norman on the practise squad. DP is fast enough to mask and keep up with the cushion he gives.

DP also had a stint with the Chargers.

Wonder if either of them are smart enough to go to an area pointed out to them by a veteran DB that knew what was about to happen?

Ouch :(

In case you all haven't noticed, we aren't trying to win this year. Gettleman is waiting to get through it so he can start building this team fresh next off season. Starting with a high draft pick

There is no reason to rag on these guys, they got signed to the practice squad - that's it. If they show some promise they move up, if not then they likely get cut.

I go to App, so maybe I'm a little defensive, but c'mon... no reason to bash these guys; this was a minor move.

Incoming App State homers.  I'm pretty sure all of those people played that same position in college and didn't convert.  I also know off the top of my head both Flacco and Moss were originally D1 players that transferred due to playing time and discipline issues respectively, there is a big difference.
