Steve Reed @SteveReedAP 15m

Ron Rivera says DE Charles Johnson and others have been coming in on day off (Tuesdays) and getting in extra pass rush work.

I'm hoping Hardy is in that group of "others".

there is literally nothing to indicate this

You're basing this off what exactly? Because the man is recovering from not one, but two surgeries, he's lazy and doesn't care?

I am basing this on what I have seen so far. Am I wrong? Most likely and hopefully. I just dont see the desire, the fire, the eagerness to get back on the field.

I have heard and seen nothing from him to prove me otherwise.

To me, it seems as if he exploits his injury to the max, until he wont be able to take it any further, and I dont blame him, keeping his contract in mind, and thats a shame, because he is very talented.

But like i said, this is my opinion. I could be wrong.

So, less than nothing. Got it.

I'm with CRA on this. Absolutely no need to get Stew back quickly. Let him take his time as long as DWill and Tolbert both stay healthy.

We have some time before we are required to do anything with Stewart roster-wise. It's prudent to hold off a bit.

Love hearing that.  This defense has an identity and is vastly underrated by the media.

If you go back and watch the vikings game, take note of how little run after contact or catch the vikings got.  Literally every time the vikings caught a pass, there was a defender there to meet them (followed by two or three others to finish them off).

This is the best panther defense i've seen in a long time.

An old saying goes "A good defense and a running game travels well in January."  I'm really hoping we get to test that theory out.

Yep.  We never needed Double Trouble.  Overkill.  No need to rush him back.   We barely have snaps to get Barner work to see what he has

I am disappointed that KJB is out at the same time...would have been nice to see him get some carries.

Is there any word on his injury?

Nice avatar...

Pretty sure it's annoying him even more.

Lower body injuries are rough on really big men.

Remember how the FO stated that KK and Star would benefit from being in a healthy rotation of players in that they may have been over-used in college and therefore tired as the season progressed? Thanks for nothing Dwan.

Is the hamstring torn or what?! How can it take this long to heal up a hammy?

Their snaps have gone down since Dwan has been out.

Was listening to Rivera's press conference and he mentioned Hardy being in the film room with some of the younger guys on his day off and how they're policing themselves and holding theirselves accountable.  So yeah, pretty much seems like most the defense is doing it.
