Always find it funny when opposing teams' fans talk smack about another team's city. I understand if you talk trash about the team and their record, etc etc. But it's the lamest thing ever to resort to bad-mouthing a city that most have never lived in.

That rings especially true for New Orleans. Its one of those cities where you have to live there a while to appreciate.

It's because most rival fans seem to believe Bourbon St is the entire city of New Orleans and it's surrounded by a swamp. The most ironic part is that the locals rarely go there, and all the drunk and trashy people they are judging down there are other tourists, not locals.

It's also because it's Internet message board smack. Nothing written in this board will change the world or stop the presses. Just like your Appalchia smack, it might be inaccurate but the poo's funny.

been to quite a few places around Canada, USA and other places in the world and other than Bourbon Street and perhaps other very isolated portions of the city, NO is a shithole and that's when the sun is up!  When the sun goes down, you better be pretty selective on where you go in that city.

translation: NO doesn't actually offer anything enticing unto itself, one has to develop some external emotional bond from experiences like that one Tuesday evening with the toothless hooker, or the waves of endorphins received from an extra wing on your plate at Hooters.

try living somewhere where you don't need to 'learn to love it' and you'll see the difference.

Inaccurate? It was a news report on 20/20 and ABC news about the rampant issue with Mountain Dew use in Appalachia and it's effects on the health and dental rot. The problem is incredibly well documented, so not sure why you call it inaccurate, do you not have google search on your computer?

Appalachia has about as much relevance to the Charlotte metro area as your pasty white forearm has to women.

Yeah don't lump us all in with those wine and cheese crowd in Charlotte. Us hill folk take offense to that.
