Zac Stacy is an example of how poorly managed our Rb contracts are.

What are DWill and JStew's bonuses for this season?

Asking because some will be very surprised at how low their base salaries are.

Agree, this isn't a RB driven league like it was when we drafted Stewart.

Hurney killed us with both those contracts.

It hasnt been a RB driven league since 2003, when the Patriot act was enforced there after

So Barner should be able to carry the load right?

Yes, we can all tell that from his 1 run against Tampa Bay where the defense was in the backfield the moment he got the ball.

We have absolutely beaten this dead horse to death.

No one disagrees that the RB contracts are something we are working to get out from under....but, when are we going to let this go and stop making new threads about it.

Seriously, it's like fans in here are asking for another Foster situation. Have you not learned what happens to a run dominant offense when the feature back isn't talented like a Stewart... or a Charles or a Spiller or a Lynch? Oh, it'll get real the moment our back rushes for 21 yards on a 2.7 average.

It's not a matter to talent. It's a matter of paying your RBs a combined like 17$mil in cap space. It doesn't work in the NFL anymore. Sure, I would rather have someone as talented as Stewart. But not at that price.

its not just the salaries our RB's have, Hurney burned 2 First Round picks on both of them.

Should we mention that San Fran and Seattle both have highly paid running backs?

Yes, they have one highly paid featured RB. Which is a normal way of doing things unlike Carolina

Blame Hurney's moronic ass then. He overpaid them. I'm not going to condemn our RBs just because of a poor business decision. Williams and Stewart have been good to us. The same goes for Johnson.

So how many rushing TDs does St Louis have on the year?

0

If every running back was as good as Tolbert and Williams then this might be a valid point but they aren't.  How many games has Barner played this year?  How many games has Armond Smith, or any other back we have drafted in the last 3 years?  If they are a dime a dozen then why don't we have their replacement on the roster already?  And if they are why are they getting no touches.

our rb's are overpaid compared to an unproven 5th round rookie?  woulda never thunk it, but glad it has been brought to our attention, thanks guy.

that was somewhat fair at the time for how our team was constructed, the extensions are what didnt make sense.  that was foxball and only an average qb

2005 in Seattle  you all would have given your left nuts to have a second highly paid good running back..............
