This is really an amazing stat that shouldn't be overlooked.  True definition of a bend and not break defense.   It feels good knowing there is always a chance of a stop, no matter where on the field.

25% of the time that teams get to our red zone, they come away with . . .zero points.

Drilling down even further, I'd be curious to see how many times the opponent has had Goal-to-go and not gotten a TD... I bet that would be a pretty sick stat as well.

Told ya this D was going to be a history making D.

And the ride isn't even close to being over.

Wait, the defense has only allowed opponents to reach the redzone an average of twice per game? Holy crap!

That 1st and goal against the Rams showed me how DONINANT our defense can be.

Another interesting stat to look up is how many of those redzone visits occur in the opening half.

I know in the past two games this defense has put the sleeper hold on the opponent.

If we end the season at the 13ppg allowed mark it will be more impressive than the 10 ppg allowed mark the Ravens set in 2000.

That's the truth, no homerism. It will never get the recognition and anyone who mentions it would be laughed at nationally, but it is more impressive. I'm not saying this defense is better, but that mark is more impressive.

The league had changed dramatically since then. The rules have drastically changed the game. I still can't believe we're only allowing 13ppg. Ron Rivera is a defensive mastermind. And to think, 90% of this fan base wanted him gone for 18+ months up until a few weeks ago.
