Matt Ryan's impressive stat

85 posts in this topic

It makes complete sense if you're not moronic. ESPN creates narratives, employs their staff to keep them going, and even has a proprietary stat to back them up. It's a proven money maker.

It's not a real statistic formula, it's poo.

So what salable narratives has their supposedly faulty QBR system created that an accurate system wouldn't and how are those narratives worth more to ESPN than ones based in fact would be?

The Golden Calf of Bristol.

The Golden Calf of Bristol's career QBR is a 33.4, so try again.

QBR is a pretty strange stat. To this day ESPN still hasn't released on just how it's done. If they did that then people would probably take it much more seriously, until then though, eyebrows will be raised.

Theres really no concrete way to tell who's better at this point. By their third year, both Ryan and Newton have damn near similar stats, however me (as a Panther fan) will give edge to Newton because Ryan had Julio in year 3. Hopefully Gettleman will give us a good WR like Julio next draft.

What's funny is Stephen A. Smith and Skip Baseless have admitted that the "QBR" stat is a useless unit of measurement, and Lindsay Czarniak, live on the air, practically discounted it because there's no clear method as to how QBR works.

Lol Falcon fans. Why are you even here? Next week means nothing, y'all are 4-10.

This is sad, really. Defending your team and QB during a losing season. Especially after being predicted by numerous "experts" to be Super Bowl contenders. The same "experts" who probably contributed to the QBR crap.

C'mon man. I generally like Falcons fans, but this is just absurd.

Why the hell are you guys debating Ryan vs Cam?  Of course Cam is better than Ryan.   That debate is old.

This year,  Cam is the most clutch qb in the division.

Since Cam won the Ryan vs Cam debate,  and Cam won the tasteful - Cam vs Geno debate........

Maybe the losers of those debates should go at it?    Ryan vs Geno.             Have at it.
