@BringBackTheBuz: TRADE RUMORS: @Bobcats may trade Bismack Biyombo & Draft Pick for Arron Afflalo!

@BringBackTheBuz: @9edr01 my uncle works in the concession stands in the amway center and overheard the talk

@BringBackTheBuz: Arron Afflalo ranks 10th in the NBA in scoring with 21.9 ppg

This seems like an intriguing trade but would leave a huge hole at center...

I'm guessing the proposed deal (if the rumor is true) is Bismack Biyomob and Charlotte's 1st Round Draft Pick (through Portland) for Aaron Afflalo.

Thoughts?

I love Biyombo and his energy but I would be ecstatic for Afflalo. He is ripping three pointers this season. Jeff Adrian has put in some good minutes so I don't think it would be that big of a hole.

It works for both teams. Orlando gets another asset and a young athletic big guy. Olidipo would get more playing time. We get a guy who can stretch the floor.

It will take a lot more than just Biz and a low 1st round draft pick to get him out of Orlando.

Would be a steal if we can get him for Biyombo and a first.  Screw the tanking crowd.  We have two all-star type players in Al Jefferson and Kemba Walker.  We add a 20ppg scorer/shooter in Afflalo, and we have the makings of a contender.  We would still have two first round picks in a loaded draft class, along with enough cap space to sign a very good player.

I like where this organization is headed.  I was growing tired of the lets tank so we can get screwed in the lottery approach.  This organization is deciding that we have its stars in Kemba and Al, and become more attractive in the FA market, while still having a couple draft picks in our back pocket.

Hope this happens.

Kemba - Sessions

Afflalo - Gordon

Henderson/MKG - CDR

McRoberts - Adrien

Jefferson - Zeller

Yup.

I'd love Afflalo here, but it's going to take more than that. Not to mention Orlando has a few young big guys better than Biz, so why would they want him? Rumor doesn't make sense.

Afflalo is owed $23 million over the next three years... and they realize they might be able to get a decent package for him. That's incentive enough to movie him.
