Anderson was on a one year deal here, if I remember correctly.

Ideally he re-signs, but if not, I'd take Josh McCown back.

That said, McCown has talked about retiring.

This is only going to hurt us with Cam's contract coming up. Damn it Bears.

@RapSheet: #Bears QB Jay Cutler’s contract: 7 years, $126 million with $54M guaranteed.

Lord have mercy...

if you added up all the money they've paid him and the picks they gave up to get him, I wonder what the total cost would look like.

(and then add in a ratio of cost to playoff wins)

So I wonder if this is really 3 years 54 million...

Side Note: General consensus was already that Julius Peppers was a goner in Chicago.  Seems even more likely now.

Lol the majority of Chicago fans are ecstatic with the deal. LMFAO

They were better with McCown.

Suicidal move by the Bears front office. Why pay an average qb, elite qb money?

It totally baffles me the sheer arrogance of some teams to prove to the league that their guy is the right choice when it's reallly obvious he shouldn't be on the team anymore.

Look at this from another perspective:

If you decide not to keep Cutler, what is Plan B?

You're going to start over at QB when you have Matt Forte, Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffrey and Martellus Bennett and McCown is talking about retiring?

The front office had little choice and Cutler actually had one of his best years statistically. Chicago's bigger concern is the lack of any defense.
