top dawg

Hixon 2.0 may be cut from Seattle

He was on his way to being a Fitzgerald-light until the injury bug hit him.  And he isn't going to get any shorter, so he's always got that...  He would instantly be our #2, I just would be concerned that he wouldn't be able to stay healthy.

He started 16 games last year and only had 700 yards

He'd be an adequate replacement for LaFell IF he could stay healthy.  I have a feeling they are keeping Ginn and drafting a big bodied blocking type receiver though.  Might keep Hixon around since he's cheap.

Better than anything we're used to.

And btw, Baldwin is a RFA. That's not happening.

He was statistically better than Lafell is all aspects.

I dunno if Rice will ever be healthy but he is big and would be an upgrade if our plan of getting Nicks doesn't work.

Yeah, and Ginn only had two receptions in two years.

I'd take him in a heartbeat if he came cheap.  He's a great talent when healthy.

Seattle was (is) a run-first team. Wilson was in his rookie year, and you failed to mention the 7 TDs. Not saying that we should talk to him, but you have to take everything into account. That 748 yards, to be exact, was more than any of our WR did this past year.

I would have to think that provided he can stay healthy, which is a huge question, Rice may have more upside than any WR we have at this point in regards to production.  Plus he'd be a nice compliment to Smitty and Ginn, and give Cam a big target.
