Saying 'goodbye' might be premature.

Saying 'thank you' is overdue.

We all appreciate what Smith gave us on the field and we will miss seeing him on Sundays. But damn, some of you need to get a life. If this move really impacts some of you like you say....damn, just damn.

The more I've read about all of this, the more I believe that Jordan Gross retiring has significantly accelerated the time-table for saying goodbye to Steve Smith.  Gross has been known to be a calming influence for Steve Smith on the sidelines and in practice.  Without him there, Smith may very well be a time-bomb for any hapless team willing to take him on.

Some people may be a little more attached or sentimental than you.... What's the big deal about that? All I see is people giving the best player in franchise history his due. If you don't like it, find another thread....It's bad enough people are saying goodbye to their favorite player. The last thing they need is some insensitive jerk carping about it. Sheesh.

At 31 years old now, X-clown is still my favorite memory as a sports fan.

Yes, very true.  Very true indeed.

Looking like the 'goodbye' might not be so premature after all :(

If Bill Voth is right, the time has come.
