#2864997 Why did you become a Panther fan?

Posted by bigskypanthersguy on 25 July 2014 - 08:02 PM

Much like a certain ex-player, I'm a ball of hate who can't be contained by his smallish form and pretty much chose the furthest team from me in high school.  They wore my favorite colors, they played defense, and they beat the goddamn America's Team Cowboys in the playoffs in their second year.  That alone in and of itself...

The best part of New Whoreleans is the highway out of it.

#2858724 This is trashing up my view

Trash begets trash, indeed.  That symbol is to football fans what "Get R Done" is to fans of moronic comedy.  It should be considered a mark to induce automatic sterilization.

Tre Boston or Tyler Gaffney, here.

#2843378 Wana know what grinds my gears..?

Posted by bigskypanthersguy on 08 July 2014 - 11:06 PM

Sure! Its just the most annoying thing ever. Its not an issue of how good these teams are, its the fact that I love playing online and these are the only teams I see.

I HATE bandwagon fans. HATE. there is nothing worse. We as a society need more devotion an patience! Not to jump ship or give up when poo gets tough

My entire life is nothing but poo getting tough.  I love living in a van in 90 degree heat until I find a place in my new city.   It's almost like a badge of honor for me to be a Panthers fan in Seahawks/NFC North/Broncos ville...most people don't even seem to know we exist.  Oddly, I did run into a lady from Charlotte last week, which was weird on both ends.

#2834180 Who'll be the 2014/15 bottom feeders?

Terrell McClain and Nick Hayden. Damn

I greatly appreciate having Death Star and KK...

We need to become best friends.

it WOULD be cool to have an old-school pen pal...says the guy who currently only has a mailing address nearly 300 miles away since I just rebooted my life today with this job.

I hope you get it.  I just wouldn't stress about it.  Be at ease, be yourself, don't worry; if you don't get this, you may get something else.

speaking as someone who just scored his second tv job...don't panic.  TV really is just that simple.  Catastrophes happen, technology breaks, people get stressed and pissed and can't deal with it sometimes, but just be easygoing and take it as it comes.  Even more importantly, absorb everything they tell you.  Never be afraid to just listen and watch and learn everything you can because sometimes you'll have to figure stuff out anyway and it's easier if you have some degree of an idea where this wire or that wire goes (speaking more from the MCO side of things, anyway.)

#2828310 Do you have a second team to root for?

Posted by bigskypanthersguy on 23 June 2014 - 08:12 PM

I follow the Bengals from afar for my best friend's sake, but typically speaking they make me incredibly apathetic.  I pity the fanbase due to having Mike Brown as an owner, but beyond that...eh.

I liked Seattle in the Hasselbeck era, and while they're much closer to me than the Panthers, typically they also inspire severe apathy in me.  They won a SB for the first time in over 40 years...great...still don't care.  Don't hate them, don't like them, they simply are.

Pittsburgh and Dallas, on the other hand, could easily be remedied by a mushroom cloud and I wouldn't shed a tear.  It would be terribly unwise for me to ever go to a game where their fans are, because I really don't need the felony.

#2825770 Patriots Considering Lining up Brandon LaFell as TE in Hernandez Role

Because moving a guy to TE when he couldn't get separation from linebackers is a good idea...

#2816658 Falcan't defense takes a hit

Posted by bigskypanthersguy on 11 June 2014 - 01:37 PM

I feel for the player as no one wants to see a guy who works this hard have a career threatening injury.  But I don't feel sorry for Atlanta at all.  I don't like them and never have.  Plus I didn't see anyone feeling sorry for us with all the injuries we have had over the past several years.  When they went 13-3 then sucked the next year it was all about injuries.  If they struggle this year it will be the injuries.  Nevermind their defense isn't good and Ryan can't handle defensive pressure.

Sorry but screw the falcons

NO (how fitting an acronym for a team is that?) is more than due for a rash of injuries to their top players for simple karmic sake.  Your feelings about Atlanta are my feelings about those black-and-gold cheap-shot artists.

Because I have a photographic memory and I'm slightly obsessed with all things Panther-related.
