Colin and Kelvin look like the "Before" and "After" pictures of a Slimfast commercial.

#2859567 Benjamin reacts to Madden Rating

Posted by MasterAwesome on 20 July 2014 - 11:46 PM

No. The first series of shoots of the rookies was about their speed. Looks like you can't comprehend poo either

Just so we're clear here: you're suggesting that their idea of a Madden promotional video was to ask a bunch of rookies playing various positions (including quarterbacks) what their SPEED rating would be, and video-tape their answers? Oh and then they decide it'd be a good idea to reveal their overall ratings afterwards...instead of, you know, showing them their speed ratings that they just took their predictions on. Maybe for their next video, they'll take those same rookies and ask them what they think their Pass Block rating should be. Then they'll instead show them what their Spin Move rating is!

And Kelvin Benjamin is trying to say his speed specifically should be an area code?

Wait a second...you don't happen to be Sherlock Holmes, do you?

#2820681 NFL.com's World Cup-NFL team comparisons

I'm just glad the Panthers are now relevant enough to even be included in an article like this.

#2796602 Do you think Cam will he on the Top 100 Players?

They just better not have that fool Champ Bailey presenting for him again!! Disgrace...

#2792144 Rookie Camp Notes

Posted by MasterAwesome on 18 May 2014 - 04:23 PM

Why are people concerned about Ealy not getting much push at DT? Guards are among the strongest players in the NFL, I wouldn't expect a 270 pound DE to be able to get push on a straight bull rush against a guard. Ealy's success at DT comes from his explosiveness and being able to get around the guard BEFORE they can put their hands on him...he's not going to be able to straight up overpower a guard who has the strength to hold off 300+ pound DTs.

Unless I'm misinterpreting what you mean by Ealy not getting much "push"..."push" to me sounds like a straight 1 on 1 bullrush-type situation. Hardy can get push on guards cause he has almost 20 pounds on Ealy and is more of a power-rusher (compared to Ealy I mean...Hardy can really do it all). Ealy's strength is not his....well, strength; he's a finesse rusher.

At least he's established himself a pretty compelling insanity plea over the last couple years...

I'm just really excited to see all these players in preseason...I'm tired of seeing Armond Smith with 20 carries a game in garbage time.

#2751062 Who is the most important player on the panthers defense?

Posted by MasterAwesome on 25 April 2014 - 01:52 AM

You have to consider the fact that Luke is the signal-caller on D and makes all the pre-snap adjustments.  That's pretty damn important for the entire defense.  Regardless, I don't really have a strong opinion one way or the other on who is the most important...you can make an argument for either.

That last one is a nice play...makes the catch, pretty nasty juke, then a heads up play getting the ball back.

So I guess that you won't be making any posts about the OP of the thread?

The fact that you've stored this much built up aggression over some posts I made like a week ago about a draft prospect is rather strange. Cooks sure has some angry fan boys in his corner, I will certainly give him that. If you want to spend your days off stalking me, have at it.

I pretty much skip over your walls of text by the way, so while I do get a giggle out of you taking the time to type them, it's pointless.

Good, you go giggle away in the corner like a little schoolgirl while the grown men have legitimate discussions.

Now would a post like that be more accommodating to your childish attention span? I'd hate to inconvenience Mr. 10,000 post guy who doesn't have time to read walls of texts. Maybe if you weren't such a tool you wouldn't be giving me so much material to be ABLE to write walls of texts on how stupid your logic is. I like how you feel the need to state that you aren't reading my posts as if it isn't obvious by your lack of addressing anything I've said thus far. Rather, essentially resorting to "U mad bro?" posts like this latest one. But those posts definitely suit you...I'll say that much. More on par with your intellectual output.

By the way, I'm on Team Benjamin, so unfortunately you're wrong yet again. Keep your chin up sport, you'll get one right eventually!

Oh and I'm very familiar with your methodical, almost scripted routine in these types of situations, so I believe this is the point where you are all shocked and stuff that I resorted to personal attacks. Apologies!!

Oh noooo look what I've done, another wall of text...cue the gigglefest!

#2673964 Should he be considered

Posted by MasterAwesome on 03 March 2014 - 10:44 PM

This thread is about DeSean Jackson, if you want to talk about Cooks, bump a thread about him.

Lol I can't bring up valid player comparisons now? On the surface, Cooks is arguably a DeSean Jackson clone. I didn't know your attention span is that fragile. Ironic coming from someone who was the first to bring up Steve Smith in that very same Brandin Cooks thread...I guess someone should have told you to start a new thread about Steve Smith cause that topic was about Cooks.

But I'll bite, let's go back to Jackson. He's a good receiver and all, but I kind of think Cam needs a bigger target. I would love to hear your thoughts on that.

Oh crap sorry for bringing up Cam in a DeSean Jackson thread...silly me. Didn't mean to derail!!

#2673606 Should he be considered

Posted by MasterAwesome on 03 March 2014 - 06:51 PM

That was about a draft prospect who has not taken a single snap in the NFL yet. We are talking about a proven player here. You can't see the difference?

Really man?  There goes your back against the wall again...

What does DeSean Jackson being a "proven player" have to do with his ability to go up and snag high passes?  That was your concern right?  Is it his insane 34.5" vertical jump?

We need a tall guy who can go up, and get the ball. Stop looking for the next Steve Smith. Too many Marty Hurney's here.

It's great to be enamored with a player, but we are unlikely to be able to draft him anyway, and Cam Newton needs a bigger target.

Cam is still working on the overthrows, a taller receiver would do him more good

Unfortunately, talent, and upside won't make him grow taller.

Yet he will still only be 5'10

Talent alone can only make up for lack of height for so long. Time waits for no man. See Steve Smith.

^This one is especially telling considering you acknowledged that Cooks could be extremely talented but his height would eventually catch up with him.  Why would your above quote not apply to DeSean Jackson again?  I'm not even picking out the quotes that support my argument either...those are literally your first 6 posts on the topic.  Your ONLY knock on Cooks was that he's short...nothing about his game not being able to translate to the NFL, since all signs point to him being a productive player.  He played in a pro-style system, he runs good routes, catches passes over the middle, good hands, good speed...EVERYTHING you'd want except for height.

DeSean Jackson is a damn good deep threat and I think he'd be a good asset for our team, but he sure as hell is not a big target for Cam which is what you advocated with about 97 posts in that Cooks thread.

#2673454 Should he be considered

Posted by MasterAwesome on 03 March 2014 - 04:56 PM

That would be amazing, but it's a pipe dream.

Aren't you the one who adamantly advocated a big receiver for Cam in the Brandin Cooks thread? You went on and on and on about Cooks being too short, and yet signing Jackson would be "amazing"? He's like 5'10...maybe 5'11 with his big boy shoes.

I don't mean to be rude, but you often seem to just want to argue for the sake of arguing...I don't know if you even believe half the stuff you post on here. You remind me of that guy in debate class who was assigned to argue the pros of child abuse or some impossible stance that NO ONE wanted...just trying to argue with your back against the wall using really trivial arguments (in my opinion).

And just to be clear, this has nothing to do with the LaFell stuff last night. I actually agreed with you mostly there...this is just something I've gathered from reading countless threads in here. I lurk 10x more than I post on here...
