Also, let's quit the boo-hooing about the Tinderbox being nothing but a bunch of loud atheists who shout down poor sad little conservative bunnies. Line up the main contributors to this forum and off the top of my head you get
Cat (where are you btw?)
IMO that's a pretty dead-set even split between posters in terms of time spent in this forum and the positions on theism that each group holds (granted I may have missed some really obvious names and I may have gotten people split into the wrong group. I'm just guessing.) I'm guessing the whining comes from the fact that only one of those groups can really hold their ground with evidence and the other has to use tone arguments and god-of-the-gaps arguments to maintain any kind of position, which invariably leads to grudging annoyance at their arrogance. How dare you privilege your knowledge over my instinct!
Then you'll see for yourself on draft day. Perriman isn't first round material.
I'm pretty sure you were the guy last draft swearing donte moncrief was a first round guy that still ended up going in the 3rd just like everyone told you he would. Maybe you should tone down on your big claims expert
Did anyone read the article? Jennings and Ball want years on contracts. Ultimately they don't want to have to move and uproot their families again. They want security and a team that they can end it with.
It's been reported Jennings wants a good team and area for his family.
Gettleman probably only wanted him on a two year deal.
I also am interested in how it came to be that everyone is now infected. How can that happen? Was it a natural environmental trigger like that terrible M. Night Shamalamadingdong movie "The Happening"? Was it governmental experimenting with mass mind control like the conspiracy theories on chemtrails. Vaccines for viruses?
They never really explained that in the show or the comics. I wonder if they will ever explain it.
Probably not. I don't think that's kirkmans style.
Off topic, but one of the things that always bothers me about zombie apocalypse movies/games. Does anyone think that slow moving weak zombies could actually cause the entire US military and communications infrastructure to fail in just a matter of weeks?
I think I read that the spin off show may tackle the very beginning of the story and cover some of this. That to me would be pretty interesting in its own right.
I am watching Dawn of the Dead right now and of course have played The Last of Us at least a dozen times start to finish in addition to dozens of other zombie movies/games and that has always been the first thing I wondered about. How could entire infrastructure fail seemingly overnight?
I ask this with full appreciation of suspension of disbelief in these type of shows. I still enjoy them
Probably mass panic and confusion. At first you wouldn't know that it is actually zombies so everyone getting medical treatment who died would come back all in the area of medical professionals. If we are going by TWD rules everyone is already infected so once you died you come back regardless of bites. So everyone dying of natural causes or anything really except for gunshot wounds to the head would be coming back as well. Mostly being dumped in mass graves so you'd have all those zombies in concentrated areas throughout the entire country all hitting pretty much simultaneously. So now you how every major city and town being overwhelmed with every one of those places dealing with their own problems. You'd get some beating it but there would be so much loss in the first few waves that chain of command probably breaks down pretty quickly.
