Alot of people seem to be thinking that the Saints will be a push-over, that we will stroll onto the field and they will be in such awe of Cam and Co that they will just forfeit the game.... better put your reality caps back on guys, this will be a slugfest right down to the wire. Could come down to who has the ball last...
No, I think a lot of people are believing in their team. And.............we have every reason to believe! That is what is so awesome about this season.
Panthers have to come out strong and get on the board early. Keep them out of the endzone in the 1st qtr. Cam needs to temper his excitement and not overthrow his receivers. Got to win the turnover battle.
This is a big game but the Panthers have had plenty of practice...NE/Mon night, SF, a Thurs nite game. Young players have some seasoning.
one thing i noticed. for ron to be such a players coach, he demands respect. all of them "yes sir, no sir"
Riverboat gives respect too. Did you notice him calling the refs "sir" ? His tone was always respectful.
Thanks for that video, it was awesome. RR has turned in to one hell of a coach. He instills confidence in his players and corrects them without demeaning them. Love his style. I am glad "it" finally clicked for him.
Not to be "that guy" who always has a topper story.
But I lost my step father to cancer 8 weeks ago, my mother is now in the hospital with a serious cardiovascular condition, and to top it off I lost my half-sister suddenly and unexpectedly on Thanksgiving day.
So I know about shitty times here recently. The Panthers team playing well and the Huddle keeping me entertained, and friends and family are the only things keeping me upright these days.
So keep pounding brother, I am trying to do the same.
Wow teeray...so sorry to hear. That is so much sadness for you and your family. I hope for the best for your mother. Hope football is a helpful distraction.
Awesomeness and others having a tough time.....hope things turn around for you soon. I think the Keep Pounding mantra is a good one. Sam was an inspiration long before he became ill. I think being able to find something positive to hang on to even in tough times is important. Sam not only gave us positive, he gave us perspective. I think he would have been very proud of this team. Hope the success gives you some distraction, comfort, and even hope.
Quite a few empty seats. Not many Tampa fans Crowd did seem into it. Lots of enthusiam for the defense on 3rd down. Lots of enthusiam for Steve Smith when he was introduced, drowning out the announcer trying to tells us of his milestone last week. Also lots of enthusiasm when he had a catch...even more than usual. That was nice to hear. Wish he could have gotten the 12,000 at home.
Certainly not the loudest this year but a lot of fun to be there.
NFC Defensive Player of the Month: Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis, who had 35 tackles, one interception, one sack and one forced fumble as the Panthers went 4-0 during November.
Now he needs a ring! Let's get it!
Just saw this thread as it was about to drop off the first page. I think this is a HUGE accomplishment for Davis. He has not just come back from 3 knee surgeries....never done before....he is a dominating player. Without him, the Panthers would not be on this win streak.
This recognition is well deserved. I still believe he has not been given the props he deserves for what he has done.
I know we are all very glad this man is a Panther. He is AWESOME!
