That may be backwards. They blitzed because the 4 werent getting to tye QB. It happens sonetimes.
While i do understand the need to bring extra players because the DL is not generating pressure. It did not seem that that was the case against the Vikes. It seemed they came in with a plan to bring extra defenders to confuse Cassel. They came out of the gate that way, it did not seem like an adjustment. Maybe im seeing this wrong but thats how it seemed. I beleive the coaching staff saw what the blitzing did to Cam against the Cards and said hmm this might hep us beet the Vikes. Also i am not to sure they will do that against the Rams, as Bradford is good at deciding were to put the ball when being blitzed. i expect the DL to look better this week as they will not have their thunder stolen from the DB/LB. however that means the DBs need to cover a split second longer but they will have more of them out to help.
BTW everyone seems to be forgetting we have the strongest leg in the NFL at kicker and basically get an easy 3 points if we pass the 50......(As many remember last year vs the dolphins where Legatron attempted a 66 yarder and hit the net, but was a tad left of the uprights.
So you hit 67-68 yard-rs easy? but you missed a 66?
I was just telling my wife this exact same thing. It seems we always draw the team that just had something bad happen to them. I dont expect to win as i have seen it many times before. It is not the team laying down, its just we have a hard time matching intensity with a team emotionally focused. Also this feels somewhat wrong to even discuss as AP just lost his Son, but i dont think it is in as bad of taste as trying to see if he is playing or not. I still want the win, i dont want the team to lay down, but i expect it might get out of hand if the vikes play like the Chiefs last year.
That is the most miserable collection of threads I've ever heard of. Dude I'm so sorry. I stick with the greats, Moose, Minter, Smitty, Kevin Green, etc..
I have him beat. Right now i have Beason, and Stewart. Had Peppers,Jenkins.
My wife wanted a Fua when we drafted him, so she had one custom made. When he got caned she got Luke. so now i have my wife having the only worth while jerseys in the house and one of them if FUA!!!!! let that sink in.
Well to be honest, against the seahawks i can see why. We didnt want to give them a bunch of picks. i hope we had a very safe game plan for that game only and will be more aggressive in others. i think the dbs on the hawks had us draw up a game plan to not let them be part of the game.
Can someone tell me why we always end up drafting one of these "project" player over prospects who are considered NFL ready?
If they are a 4rth rounder there is a reason. Not all 4ths pan out so its a pic your poison. Most teams do this. You either tack a chance on an injured guy from a big school, or a guy with no real game experience, or a guy with off field issues, or a guy from a school no one has heard of. Everyone does it, you just dont follow other teams to remember who they drafted in the 4th that panned out. Im not talking about the exeption to the rule, like a brady being picked late, But normal guys in the later round are a guessing game.
