What wrong with letting them redshirt? Nothing. People are impatient, that's the problem. You rarely draft an 18 year old in this day and age expecting them to start in their first or second season. PJ obviously needs to control his maturity issues. We drafted two potential stars. Their just not going to be stars this season. Anyone who watched the Summer League should be highly impressed with the skill and development they saw from Hairston and Vonleh. People get upset and impatient when we draft a player who isn't going to be an immediate impact player.

Yes we live in a microwave era and this is a football forum. Fans here just need to addin what happens with baseball/hockey rooks, rather than football model alone. Both have skills rare skills, but it may take a couple years to show. Given there are 48 mins per game( - ot ) , lance should get 30+, hendo 10 ( sg only) and neal 8 ........ well no need for PJ unless you need to build a house of bricks. Vonleh, is not a 18 year old, he's already a man. Geez with all the growth hormones put into foods, between him, kevin " special k", and the 300 lbs high school OL these kids skip the teens years. If each put in real work, could be one special draft class.

I had to leave the restaurant biz, due to impatient people. Many years ago a change happen, people went to sit down restaurants and wanted fast food. It just bugged the shiit out of me, you had to turn 8 min tickets (unless well done/special orders), cause people wanted it NOW and corp had to apdat. So then came the frozen crap and cooking nearly everything, warm and serve. Yuck...... if you want fast food go to chick-fila. I understand this during lunch times, I had a problem when it became dinner too. Now even five star place are doing similar tactics. No idea what happen to relaxing and enjoying a nice non-frozen/warmed dish. O the horrors... I mean joys of being a old soul in this generation.

That mcray guy looking like a top ten pick now.

What's wrong with letting the 18yr old and 21 year old red shirt this year? This team has deep in vet players at each spot and they offer the same skills. PJ needs to work on being a pro, ala his body and off court shaddy stuff. Vonleh is a young man, that needs exp. Both could be solid starters in about 2/3 years if they work hard.

Yep you guys should pull wàààaaaaaaay back on what pj will do this year. All I want is him to limit all his shaddy shiiit and have a whole of year of nothing. If he plays 20 + mins, that will mean something terrible happen. He still a green rook, give him one year before all this pie in sky 20 points talk...... at least please for your own good.

#2853451 Hornets sign Lance Stephenson to 3yr/27m contract.

Posted by MV%doe on 16 July 2014 - 06:31 AM

Its been said that while the pacer offer of 9per @5, didn't start that way. It started around 6-7(slowly going up) and in the end averaged 9 over the length. Plus to be spefic it was 8.8ish and not 9, but what's a few hundred thousand...... maybe lance or agent took that as a kick to the balls and when for the bigger first three year horent offers over pacers low first three years.

#2835076 Should we just save our cash?

Posted by MV%doe on 29 June 2014 - 12:28 PM

I'm glad cho is in charge.

I've thought about this too, I mean aj and kemba are FAs after this year, so they will not be cheap either. If you cannt get a stephenson, haywood, or melo(lol). Maybe the best move is signing kemba & aj to friendly contracts or save the money for better options. But the horents want to win NOW. Rebrand and east being somewhat open, I understand. But spending money just cause you have it, is not smart business. Cho has backup plans if jordan doesn't get his star.

#2835037 Hornets offered Henderson, 24th pick to Magic for Afflalo via ESPN insider

Posted by MV%doe on 29 June 2014 - 12:02 PM

The heat shot themsevles, by calling all teams starting at 18 begging for a trade up. Cho used it to steal a couple million and get his guy on 26pay grade rather than 24 pay. In the end, gaining +/-3 million all while getting the player you wanted. What's not to like or understand???

#2829306 Do you have a second team to root for?

#2810558 Chicago Bears sign teh Jimmeh

The jimmeh didn't complain about what happen here. Panthers gave him the carr treatment, then drafted cam after it. Shocked he was a pro during his stay.

#2810526 Steve Smith was going to retire after the 2014 season

Steve stirring the pot, nonstop...... people forget steve wanted to be traded during his career. More than once too, so steve can change his feelings. The time behind a mic hes learned how to be more of a attention grabber.

#2796145 Dave Gettleman ESPN 730 Interview, Must Listen

Posted by MV%doe on 21 May 2014 - 05:56 PM

hmmmm he put james in with the other top OTs and said bell/chandler when better than the options leftd..... i thought the role of drafting BPA, is not worrying about the roster but taking the BPA. plus the panthers need a RT too!!(and depth) why ignore the OL so much while putting alot of attention on DL. steel sharpers steel, a wood OL doesnt become steel form practicing against a steel DL.

also said they changed the philosophy for CB, they want bigger guys. talked about the week one match-up with TB. currently just about all DBs are 6 foot +.
