#3246167 DJ Humphries - OT Florida Gators

Posted by MV%doe on 19 February 2015 - 07:49 AM

Nope youre right(as I was editing my awful post). It doesn't take a miracle to move form late second to late first. Many things after the combine ala Interviews, team combines, etc do hold weight in formula in ranking a player. One team could have been dead set on picking that texas a&m OT, then he got hurt......... but they still want a true OT. DJ could benefit form other teams listing a few OTs as OGs. A draft picks value is similar to a stock, some are rising, others are falling.

Checkout wisebread.com

Buying and selling is the second oldest trade among human or try the first and become a man-*****. Id say get a better bar tender gig or cut back at your current job while getting a different gig. If your working 60-70 tending and not filling your needs/wants, man that needs to be fixed. If you didn't have a little one, selling drugs is a great side gig... especially bartending.

Oil, drugs, and weapons at the three biggest on the planet if you're looking for a field to enter. Apps are the new gold mining.

Uber, is similar to pizza delivery or red box. They want you cause you have a diver license, insurance, and car. 12$ per works if you're driving a geo merto or old crolla other wise your wearing out your car. Depending on type, age, and fuel mileage there's a cost per mile, just like trucking. Sure the extra money is good, til you put 100,000+ of stop and go miles on 30,000$ car. Id uber, pizzaD, or redbox with a crolla.... id also sell water/engery drinks/ vapor stuff/ etc if I uber'd too. That would help offset the cost at the end.

Id say talk up some of your regulars while tending, (you should know which ones by now) and ask if they have any solutions.

The tiers seem to be 1-6 7-15ish 16-35. I really don't think theres a lot of difference between 8-25, like 90 rating to 84 ranking. Looks like a great year to trade back too.

You got to checkout everyone, sure its more likely to find legit pros in big schools. UDFAs is where you show your worth form the smaller schools. I do think a big reason teams gamble on these D2 schools is ego driven.

Plus there's always reports after the panthers got edwards, kugzilla, and amini. __________ teams had a high rank on that player and are super jelly that the panthers 1 up'd them. SF had reports that thery almost picked amini in 1st. Other teams where upset, once the panther took edwards.... according to darrin " super app fanboy" grantt.

#3234370 Am I the only one that thinks the Nate Chandler to OT should be put to death?

Posted by MV%doe on 08 February 2015 - 07:15 AM

I thought I explained my position fairly well. He continues to be moved around because he hasn't had success at any position he has played. His coaches continue to try different positions because they see his physical talent and want to try to find a position where he can succeed. The problem is that position isn't on a football field and I think that's starting to become pretty clear.

LG, I believe you are mistaken. Nate being "moved around", was not due to his lack of success. Maybe you forgot about nates history, that should shed light on this. 2012 made the team and after about one month on the PS, he got the call(not bad for a UDFA). He was a fine backup form the 12 or so games. PS and backup status most times means you are a member of the scout team. Nate plays OL, matsko watches and makes a comment about " you can play OL if you wanted". 2013 daves arrives, his first signing was cole, drafts two DTs, plus wes horton. After a few weeks its clear as day, the DL is set. The staff likes nate and theres a opening at RG, so they have a talk and nate switches jerseys. Thats being a huge team player, it also showed nate wanted to remain a panther. Nate started a few games and was the best RG, even after scott came back form injuries.

2014 gross retires, cap hell and weak T class. Again nate takes on the giant task of filling a huge hole. Doesn't win the LT, but never the less is the starting RT. Now how you define success is up to you, I'll say he had success as a backup DT and RG........ but not as a RT. Nate did the panthers some HUGE favors during some dire times. Again, I ask you to name another player/s that have made the switch and got NFL snaps on both sides?

#3232585 Would Ereck Flowers be a reach at 25?

Posted by MV%doe on 05 February 2015 - 08:58 PM

What do you see in Flowers that makes you say "stud"?

Currently I believe he's the best "true" LT out of the top five OLmen. Peat is second, but he may only be a RT. The others seem more like OGs and too raw.

Given hes basically the only true LT, he should go waaaay before 25. I wouldn't be surpised to see flowers in the top ten after after the meat shows are over. I don't think he fall pass 15, but I said top five for star(laugh at others whom hoped he'd fall), kev was 15-18 pick(basically the only one beating this drum).

Flowers has the best feet(super important), balance, and size out of draft pool. Another dream come true if he's there @ 25.

Edit o god chuck agrees with me

I think Flowers, Scherff, and Collins is going to go pretty high in this years draft. I think the reason that is because Flowers is probably the best tackle right now in this class. Scherff and Collins are pretty much guards in my opinion but they can definitely be pretty good guards in the league. I think Collins probably haves the best upside at tackle then Scherff does. I still believe Collins is probably a year or two away from being a starting option at left tackle in the league. I feel like if the Panthers can't get Peat or Flowers at 25, then we should look in another direction in the first round. As a Panthers fan we better hope Peat can some how fall to 25 because if so, he could potentially be a steal at that spot. I feel like in the end Peat will end up being the best tackle that comes out of this class. In the long term due to his 6'7 313 pounds frame and potential upside with him only being 21 years old, Peat could be a very intriguing prospect for the Panthers in the upcoming NFL draft.

That's about how I feel.... I want a chance at peat or flowers......... the others I'll pass even the guy form pitt he's too raw. Like dave said they need to be ready to play now, clemmons is a couple away..... but if coaches believe they can get him ready by week one, I'll change my opinion.

I am worried about both peat and flowers being @ 25...... but there's also 2 blue goose DEs there too. I know dave will pick the DE and I'll be pissed. But I doubt peat or flowers is there, just like I said no way kev or star would be there........ hope I'm wrong three years running.

I didn't say no way they'd be there just a less than 1% chance, right now I feel about the same.

Very interesting--I have had the same thoughts. Brady solves a lot. Had he not grabbed Brady, would we even know his name? They have played in a pretty weak division for years, they have a qb who makes average good and good great, and they have the benefit of BB's game planning.

BB gets cute when it comes to the draft. It backfires a lot, but he always has (as you said) 10 picks, so if three or four catch fire, he looks good. The Pats are always big in free agency. When you have free agents coming in due to Brady, Brady taking a pay cut to win, etc. It is hard to lose. Historically, for whatever reason, players have accepted below market to play there.

Brady does cover LOTS of weakness. I will state this, it will bump BBs value and put a small dent in toms. Remember when brady got injured week 1(before halftime) and for the rest of the season matt cassel was your QB.......... pats still went 10-6, but missed the playoffs. Still 10 wins with a guy that hasn't started since HS is very impressive. Disclaimer; I'm quoting this stuff off the memory, I hate using goggle to cover my weakness.

Plus I'll add, that pats have had a GREAT fg kickerS during this 15 year run too. Brady gets lots of credit, but both the kickers(steve&adam) have won games too. Having a great kicking game with around 60% of your games in bad weather...... its a huge advance.

You are correct about BBs cuteness drafting. He'll draft a second rounder that most teams have a UDFA grade on. In a year or two BB will cut the bust and still win 12. BB has brainwashed tom into "cheap" contracts, that's seems to part of BB formula. Find/draft players that are easily brainwashed into the "pat way". If you don't, BB will cut or trade you once the brainwashing isn't working. BB is a teacher, some of best wired segments are BB getting players to fully understand why you need to here in this moment at this score in this weather with their OC calling the play. He explains the "why".

#3219708 Any thoughts on Jamison Crowder from Duke?

Posted by MV%doe on 25 January 2015 - 03:17 PM

Too short for my taste, plus I don't see him as a punt returner.

It was stated by all the CBs he was the hardest guy to cover, so poo on my opinion. Scouts calling him a brandon cooks clone. Hype train is here, but I'm not on it.
