#2911930 Bucs week - Yo ho ho it’s a pirates life for me

Posted by MV%doe on Today, 04:59 PM

Scp please do this each week, yes even the bye too. Even if panthers have a losing streak, this would be the slump buster. So please don't make me beg, in order for season success, we need this!

Luke and TD are the best 4-3 LBs combo

Willis and Bowman are the best inside 3-4 LBs combo

#2907564 Would you trade Anderson to St Louis?

Posted by MV%doe on 24 August 2014 - 05:44 PM

Yeah the problem is Lovie would probably hand over Glennon for a third. The pats would definately hand over Mallet for a third. The Rams can get young, well thought of players with potential. Why bring in DA?

He's a vet. A proven one with 50 TDs, 10,000 yards and a pro bowl. Others are younger and have talent but are less proven than DA. Plus I believe DA is on a vet min 2 year deal. I'm sure DA is a master of more than a few playbooks too(cleve had lots of turn over). While the others only know one or parts of two. What would be too good, is trading bob mememe to the rams for either peanuts or kings ramsom.

Id trade anyone- cam luke etc if you meet my needs and wants. For DA at his current contract, id want at least a third rounder and a OT prospect. I greatly value DA and would hate moving given what he's done @ cheap sal plus he's a new father. So id need that third and OT to do something I really don't want to do.

Jones would burn philly, rather easy.

#2900099 Chances Bersin could be our number 2 at WR

Posted by MV%doe on 20 August 2014 - 03:02 PM

Id like to state if not for the contract, cotchery so far has been a minor disappontment. Bersin is your average trihard white WR, panthers are gaining a return in their investment. Funny I thought avant had a 50/50 chance at making the team before TC, now he looks like the #2 guy. Cam just needs reps with the whole group, then role would be better define too.

#2896303 Fisher #1 pick, UDFA Bell playing better

Wow I'm shocked at all these bell supporters, before two preseason games there was only jackofalltrades and me....... now look at the huddle now.

#2890659 we have heard about kk's progression. what about star?

Posted by MV%doe on 14 August 2014 - 06:12 PM

Sacks as a stat for DT? Please don't let the fantasy football way of thinking judge DTs. Does he control space, keep guys off luke, cj, hardy, and TD. So if star isn't getting double teamed, make that poor OG or C pay! throw him into the QB or person with the ball. Star main job is to force a change in game planning. You cannt put two guys on the whole DL, star is the best choice cause if you don't....... no pocket, no inside running for RB, you limit the type of plays OC can call. Hence he's a game changer.

#2884714 The Maturation of Luke

Posted by MV%doe on 10 August 2014 - 08:25 AM

Luke is a coaches/owner/gms dream of a player. I like the fact he's so quiet/reserve off field but a shiit talking speed demon manbeast between the white lines.

What wrong with letting them redshirt? Nothing. People are impatient, that's the problem. You rarely draft an 18 year old in this day and age expecting them to start in their first or second season. PJ obviously needs to control his maturity issues. We drafted two potential stars. Their just not going to be stars this season. Anyone who watched the Summer League should be highly impressed with the skill and development they saw from Hairston and Vonleh. People get upset and impatient when we draft a player who isn't going to be an immediate impact player.

Yes we live in a microwave era and this is a football forum. Fans here just need to addin what happens with baseball/hockey rooks, rather than football model alone. Both have skills rare skills, but it may take a couple years to show. Given there are 48 mins per game( - ot ) , lance should get 30+, hendo 10 ( sg only) and neal 8 ........ well no need for PJ unless you need to build a house of bricks. Vonleh, is not a 18 year old, he's already a man. Geez with all the growth hormones put into foods, between him, kevin " special k", and the 300 lbs high school OL these kids skip the teens years. If each put in real work, could be one special draft class.

I had to leave the restaurant biz, due to impatient people. Many years ago a change happen, people went to sit down restaurants and wanted fast food. It just bugged the shiit out of me, you had to turn 8 min tickets (unless well done/special orders), cause people wanted it NOW and corp had to apdat. So then came the frozen crap and cooking nearly everything, warm and serve. Yuck...... if you want fast food go to chick-fila. I understand this during lunch times, I had a problem when it became dinner too. Now even five star place are doing similar tactics. No idea what happen to relaxing and enjoying a nice non-frozen/warmed dish. O the horrors... I mean joys of being a old soul in this generation.

That mcray guy looking like a top ten pick now.

What's wrong with letting the 18yr old and 21 year old red shirt this year? This team has deep in vet players at each spot and they offer the same skills. PJ needs to work on being a pro, ala his body and off court shaddy stuff. Vonleh is a young man, that needs exp. Both could be solid starters in about 2/3 years if they work hard.
