#3353395 Gettleman on the Funchess Pick

Posted by MV%doe on 03 May 2015 - 05:31 PM

I know what you mean, and how you feel. :thumbsu:

However, players and drafts aren't always simple math,. black and white and linear things.

Sometimes the impression a player makes on the team, and how they feel they will said player will fit into their scheme's (along with some football and athletically) can be equally as important.

This is why every draft year, there's tons of formerly highly regarded players who disappoint, and other 'lightly regarded' players who are considered steals.

Unfortunately/despite what they want us to believe (he media), it's not a predictable science. Happens every year.

NFL Brass, who get judged on this stuff much more severely than the normally wrong media, can attest to this.

You understand and yes when humans are involved its not black and white simple math.

Dave and crew deserve respect, which I'm giving plenty of to go along with this super suspect draft.

#3350341 Dave Gettleman is quietly putting together a better draft than last year.

Posted by MV%doe on 02 May 2015 - 12:16 PM

That's exactly what people said last year. They said KB was a reach, that Ealy was a stupid pick, and were whining that we didn't get a OT when we picked Turner. We shall see though.

I drove the KB bus, even called him the best outside WR. Id say around 60% of the huddlers didn't like KB at all. I didn't agree with early pick, but totally believed it was the best value pick in 2nd.

None of those thoughts are shared with this years draft. We'll see, again I'm giving this group til they have a full season and full nfl off-season.

I'll support them, regardless.

Time will time, I believe its been a awful draft.

We'll see once the pads are on. I will give my opinion once the second season for these rookies starts.

Ajayi , yea I know about his knee. Still if healthy he's a complete 3rd HB. This is coming form someone whom doesnt want t invest picks at RB.
