Should be Norman and White.

I live right by the Rose Bowl.  I would prefer the Rams or Jaguars because Raider fans are really hard to be around personally.  Panthers will always be my team but it'd be nice to be able to go to a game without driving to SD.

#3037146 Deandre Presley at Safety?

You think there is talent at home sitting on their couches?

Yes there are players available that actually play the position. Chris Clemons is one of them.  Terrell Thomas is another.  Drayton Florence is one more.  I don't think fitting square pegs into round holes has worked out so great thus far.

I truly believe that Norman-White-Bene are the best options we have at this point. But like most of you said, things just need to be shaken up. If Norman can keep just a bit of that attitude without losing his cool he has a chance to make an impact. At least thats what I'm hoping for. Id rather bring back Drayton Florence than see Cason at this point

#3034170 Ron Rivera is still terrible at clock management

Posted by Mojo on 20 October 2014 - 11:48 PM

Yeah he seems like he's just naturally aloof and dumbfounded when it comes to clock management.  I don't like seeing his face in those circumstances because he generally looks like a meathead with his eyes glossed over with bewilderment.  It's really unsettling honestly.

Aside from time management it would be nice if he located the balls of steel that he temporarily had when his ass was on the line.

#3033604 AJ Klein - Did you notice....

Posted by Mojo on 20 October 2014 - 04:35 PM

Lol, didn't notice.

He's got his initials on his arms, like I did when I created my own Madden character.

LMFAO!!

#3033295 brenton bersin

hes a #3 wr at best not a #2

That may be true in your eyes, but at this point I don't think Bersin should be bumped up to #2 just because you're not so hot on Jerricho.

Outside of the potential TD last week, he's made plenty of clutch catches this season to move the chains.

I usually think Shula is lame as it comes but gotta give it up for him thus far.

But really though..Cam's reads and calls at the line.  His throws are jaw dropping.  We got something special..

#3009215 Rivers leads MVP race, followed by QBs P Manning, Wilson, Luck, RB Murray, DE...

If you think there were never athletic quarterbacks before Vick, I'm guessing you haven't been watching football long.

If you wanna say he's a superior athlete to those past, that can pretty much be said at every position. Athletes today are faster and stronger than they ever were. Nothing special about Vick on that front (heavy marketing aside).

But the biggest point of all is that Vick was, is, and likely always will be a mediocre passer. Yes he can throw the ball fast and hard, but not with accuracy.

Passing isn't about throwing the ball a mile. It's about throwing it to one certain spot. Vick stunk at that, and still does. That's why people thought his receivers were lousy before they realized that with someone else throwing them the ball, they sis just fine.

That's great detail you went into there but you won't change my mind.  He set took the NFL by storm when he was in ATL.  No one's saying he was the Chuck Berry of football.  No one's saying he's Dan freakin Marino but he was a pioneer in this era.

No doubt.  I'm not changing my opinion on that.

SMH @ Mike Vick not being a pioneer.  Wow.

#3005752 AJ Green leaves practice on cart

On a 'football level', true competitors like the challenge beating the best. Listen to the guys making Hall of Fame speeches tell their stories and you'll hear that a lot of their favorite memories come from facing their most worthy opponents.

Beyond that though, football is a game played by real people. There's no good to be found in a guy being injured. For me to feel anything positive about something like that would require a much better reason than just that it's going to make it easier for us to win a game.

A serial killer or a rapist gets hurt? I can be okay with that. If the guy's worst sin is that he plays for an opposing football team though? Not enough.

I agree with wanting to beat the best but this is taking it way too far. I dont think anyone is basking in the sun because of aj possibly being unable to go. It aint that deep man.

I don't honestly care what their fans think.

You want to say you're the best team? Earn it by beating the best. If you can't, then you're not.

I agree man. Thats an insecure way of thinking. Who cares what their philosophy is. Beating teams that arent at their best wont help us if we get in the playoffs. At all.
