#2902187 Gameday Menu

Posted by coralreefer_1 on 22 August 2014 - 10:45 AM

Gonna be SAturday afternoon after a short work shift in the office before I can download and watch the game here in S. Korea

I do believe I'm gonna have to make some Steak and cheese sandwiches, with chili on top. and some mostly crappy Korean beer

#2896293 Fisher #1 pick, UDFA Bell playing better

Posted by coralreefer_1 on 18 August 2014 - 06:38 AM

Told yall mofos to leave Bell alone. He's doing his thing, and glad that RR believes in him. God knows back during the draft the man was treated worse than Clausen was around here.

#2889824 New Huddlers... introduce yourself....

Posted by coralreefer_1 on 14 August 2014 - 07:19 AM

I am not exactly a newbie, though over the years I have been on the forum I haven't posted all that much compared to some. (only 300+ posts since that terrible playoff loss to Arizona years ago, which I joined to bitch about)

Though as time has gone on, I have posted more and more each year. I tend to be rather negative in regards to alot of the crap I read here, and I have the honor of posting the dumbest thing some unknown bloke has read on the huddle...lol

With that said, its all good. I have much love for the team of course, and the people here (we are all fans after all) even though like some of them, I find some of the stuff written here reaching for a star in a constellation called "The idiot"

So here is my intro, so most of you will be able to recognize me when I say poo that pisses people off.

Grew up in Knightdale and later Raleigh. I wasn't a fan of football until we were awarded the team, and have followed them ever since. I've been living in S. Korea for the last 10 years, and plan my yearly trips home to coincide with the Panthers game I wish to see most. Finishing up my masters in a few weeks, and about to enter the PhD program. Engaged to a woman I have been with for 6 years, a woman way too young and hot for me..but hey...she likes what I give her :) Proudly wear a 12 year old Panthers pullover I brought with me during games, although my fiance wears it more than I do. Im forced to download games and watch them a day late with the time delay and research. If anyone is looking for a way to get HD quality downloads at no cost online, (other than the one well known site everyone knows_ PM me. I can hook you up

As for the pie, back when I was a kid driving down to the coast with my Dad, we used to stop as some small flea market place along the way. There was an African American gentleman in there whom referred to himself as simply "The Pie Man". This guy was a site to behold, and would sell you a pie he baked in the store that day with a "shiny plastic fork" to eat it with. My favorite was Boston Creme.

#2888552 Who's the guy that you're glad you don't have?

Posted by coralreefer_1 on 13 August 2014 - 06:18 AM

Andrew Luck

I wish we could go back and see how 99% of the huddle were creaming their pants and proclaiming this guy a god before he ever took a single snap in the NFL.

Luck has done pretty darn well, but I don't believe for a second that if he had come out and we drafted him, with the tools we had at the time concerning receivers and protection, he would have done even half as well here as he has done in Indy.

Cam stepped into a (shall we say...less than ideal) situation and made something of it. I don't imagine Luck being able to do the same with this team.

#2888525 Panthers Training Camp - Final Thoughts

Posted by coralreefer_1 on 13 August 2014 - 05:02 AM

I am so impressed by Bell, well done Byron! Sometimes, negativity can boost a player.................

Kb was my pre combine first round pick so i am happy and not really surprised, KK was my last year second pick (pre combine) and i wrote a thread about him so i am happy again and not surprised at all. and i am happy about everything else, thank you Jeremy.

Sometimes, a little faith and respect can do wonders as well..

Proud to have been fortunate enough to have him as my 2014 Adopted Panther ( a request made purely because I believed his got WAY more flack than he deserved)

Now if I can just figure out how to make one of those nice pretty adopt-a-panther sigs and attach it, I'd post in every single thread just to get the man's numbers out there. :)

Good luck Bell. Stay healthy~~

#2875812 Name one small tweak to make the game even better

Posted by coralreefer_1 on 04 August 2014 - 04:57 AM

I would LOVE if it were possible that 2-3 players on each team could be mic'd up and fans could "subscribe" to that players mic for the entire game.

Obvious issues with huddle/sideline coaching aside, it would be awesome to hear more of the game on the field than just a few short seconds.

I would have paid dearly to hear all the trashtalk Smith used to do to defenders

#2860892 Clausen going camping

Posted by coralreefer_1 on 22 July 2014 - 10:34 AM

Look at the ppl giving JC some tiny bit of respect and well wishes after shitting on him for the past 2 years.

Too late for most of you. You dont get to come off as decent NOW when you threw the kid in the gutter, called him trash, made comments about his mother giving birth to him..etc. Very FEW if ANY of those commenting in the past day or so acted as a voice of reason when he was being skewered and thrown to the wolves.

Get your pie for making the obligitory comment about him having a second chance, but know that its bullshit that some of us remember.

#2793906 Greg Hardy reportedly returns to Panthers' workouts

Posted by coralreefer_1 on 20 May 2014 - 08:41 AM

Greg Hardy
Cam Newton
Luke Kuechly
Star Lotulelei
Kelvin Benjamin

Those are the best players from each of the last 5 drafts. They are also the core of this team & untouchable. Anyone else is expendable; Davis, Johnson, Kalil, Olsen, Williams, Stewart, etc. They're all replaceable, & watching how Dave operates I'd assume will be replaced sooner rather than later. The 5 guys listed above aren't going anywhere for the next 4-6 years. They are the pillars of this team.

Kalil is expendable??? Id personally put his value FAR above Kelvin (man hasnt even played a single down yet in the NFL) and even Star. Hell, if we cant even get respectable help for the O-line mess we have now...how is Kalil (you know, a 3 time pro-bolwer) expendable and replaceable given our current situation?

#2786036 Greg Hardy Arrested

Posted by coralreefer_1 on 14 May 2014 - 10:23 AM

My only point is the injuries don't match the alleged warrant.

He 'flung her around the room, slammed her on floor and bathtub, threw on couch, and strangled her'.  She has some bruises and scratches.

Also, why does she have an attorney present at his court hearing?  Isn't it up to the state at this point?

I dont know aobut her bruises, and all of that sounds suspicious because I pretty much do ALL of those to my fiance every weeklend during our "romps", and she comes out like a champ.

And they say Asian women are weak and dainty.. LOL

#2785997 Greg Hardy Arrested

Posted by coralreefer_1 on 14 May 2014 - 10:00 AM

LOL at the idea that a man like Hardy couldnt have done this because "she would be dead"

Most of us are perfectly capable in beating the hell out of our wives, yet also capable of stroking her cheek gently if she cries, or..we;;..you know.

It's called "control". Seriously, its like some of you have never wrestled around with someone weaker than yourself.

I hope to god all of this mess isnt true, but lets put this stupid idea that it cant be true because he is capable of so much more damage = innocence to rest. Most women whom have been battered "could" have received ALOT worse if the man truly wanted to dish it out, and it doesnt take a beast of an athelete to do so.

#2776269 A Theory on Gettlebro's Strategy for the Offensive Line.

Posted by coralreefer_1 on 10 May 2014 - 10:36 AM

Kind of out of the blue and forgive me for not making an entire thread to express this thought....

Really though, isnt it time to give the Bell hate a rest? The guy is on our team, and has apparently earned the respect of those who..you know, actually get paid big money to decide who is and is not on the team. He may not be an MVP candidate, but I think he deserves more respect than what many around here are giving him. The man has missed only one game in his three years here, commands a paultry 200,000+ salary cap this year, and is a big darn mofo to have up in there.

In fact, if we are doingt he adapt-a-panther again this year..i wanna adopt him for no other reason than I think he gets WAY too much hate around here than he deserves considering the above.

#2752234 A terrifying "what if"

Posted by coralreefer_1 on 26 April 2014 - 06:42 AM

Let me ponder on that while I am busy not giving a damn about what "might" have happened 3 years ago, and watching my sexy ass Asian gf make me a sandwich in her underwear~

#2694218 A kid's reaction to Smitty's release, and his awesome sister...

Posted by coralreefer_1 on 14 March 2014 - 09:22 AM

Man, if my kid slapped my camera like that, he would have ALOT more to cry about than Steve Smith...thats for sure!!!! Sad for a parent to allow such crap!

#2690527 There can be no doubt: Gettleman is in charge

Posted by coralreefer_1 on 13 March 2014 - 11:13 AM

As it should be. A boss is not a boss if they have no power over decisions (be they good or bad)

#2674346 Even Ebron wants Smitty to stay

Posted by coralreefer_1 on 04 March 2014 - 09:34 AM

I think everyone wants Smith to stay assuming it is within the budget.

With that said, in the slot, or on the fade...89 has dropped a good number of passes in the last two season..more than I have ever seen him drop (yes, despite my low post count, ive been with the team that long)

People seem to be focused on this "evaluation" and putting alot of emphasis an his drive/fire/leadership. He is being evaluated not only because of his cap hit..but his contribution to the team ON THE FIELD. He may command double teams, but that doesnt mean anything when there isnt a threat on the opposite side of the field.

I surely dont want to see Smith leave...would literally break my heart. But damn...his dropped passes lately have pissed me off (mainly because he used to be a sure fire catcher even triple-teamed)
