Nice breakdown of Perriman:

#3254839 Andre Johnson could be released if he refuses to take pay cut

I'm convinced some of you guys on here look at a players age and automatically think he is on the decline. I'd take Andre Johnson in a heartbeat. Tall, highly productive WR, with great hands. Exactly what we need for Cam.

With that said, he's still going to demand more money than we will be able to afford.

#3254173 Quotes from scouts

Bob McGinn does this yearly. Pretty interesting to hear what some scouts might think. Some quotes on prospects that many of us are talking about.

I see Jake Fisher as a dark horse to go in the 1st round.

Those are some interesting rankings/draft projections on some prospects.

#3184905 Walter Football current mock for the Panthers

Posted by KDawg004 on 07 January 2015 - 02:22 PM

Rashad Greene is not a speed guy but he knows how to get open. Very clutch too and has dependable hands to move the chains. Stefon Diggs is overrated right now and he comes with injury concerns. I'd take him as a return man though.

If you want speed and a deep threat, look no further than Phillip Dorsett. Dude can flat out fly. I also really like Nelson Agholor and Sammie Coates for speed, #2 WR with upside in the 2nd if they make it to our pick.

I would also love to pick up TE Maxx Williams in the 2nd if he is there. He's a baller. Bring back the two TE sets we ran with Shockey and Olsen or wreak havoc how the Patriots did with Hernandez and Gronkowski. Funchess is also worth a look as a TE mismatch.

#2757469 Jerome Couplin III

Stumbled across this prospect on another website. Seems like a good sleeper. FS out of William & Mary. Link includes a highlight tape that seems impressive. Haven't seen the Panthers linked to him though.

#2754137 KRs in the draft.

Maybe someone like D'Anthony Thomas later in the draft?

#2709709 Cason coming to charlotte tonight

Posted by KDawg004 on 20 March 2014 - 09:40 PM

Well this is what I saw so I'm still holding out hope
@MikeGarafolo: In addition to CB Terrell Thomas, who was in for a visit today, the Panthers are nosing around CB Antoine Cason. Figure they sign 1 or both.

I really hope we are able to sign both. We're going to have to go draft heavy on offense. A secondary of Harper, Godfrey, White, Thomas, and Cason should suffice with our front 7.

#2685569 Saints sign Jairus Byrd

Posted by KDawg004 on 11 March 2014 - 09:03 PM

I don't get how all these teams have money to make FA splashes every year. Yet, the Panthers never sign anyone of notable significance but are always cap strapped. Mind blowing.

#2678168 Fug a CB or any D player in the 1st.

Posted by KDawg004 on 07 March 2014 - 12:32 PM

If the value of DB outweighs that of WR/TE/OL in the 1st put me down. I have no problem having a CB that can slow down opposing WRs. Hell, I'd have no problem drafting Kyle Van Noy or Nix if they're the best value left on our big board.

#2668493 Building an OL

Posted by KDawg004 on 27 February 2014 - 01:04 PM

It could benefit us that quite a few OL had poor showings at the combine. We can find some good values from the 3rd round on that can start immediately for us. OG (Cyril Richardson, Gabe Jackson) OT (Cyrus Kouandjio, Tiny Richardson, James Hurst, Ju'Wuan James)
