#1037844 Panthers lead story on ESPN first take

Posted by KatsAzz on 08 February 2011 - 12:46 PM

I feel sure since Clausen, since was a 2 nd rd draft choice will be evaluated this season and given a chance, even if it is a backup role, that is the good news.

That bad news is,i wouldn't advice fans to purchase a Clausen jersey at this time because his future as a Carolina Panther could be short lived.

#993054 Could Matt Moore still be our guy?

I have always bee a Matt Moore supporter but to me he seems a little frail and may not be able to stand the constant pounding an NFL quarterback has to endure for a full season.

#917706 Anyone Still Want to Defend Clausen?

Posted by KatsAzz on 12 December 2010 - 09:56 AM

he has had some decent OL play in recent weeks. he also has had a decent ground attack the past 4 games.

only problem w/ that line of thought is there is little difference in Clausen's performance when he had lots of time or zero time.

not to mention, he continues to bail on plays instead of stepping up in the pocket.....which makes the OL look worse. Those are downs a functional QB takes a step up in the pocket and actually attempts to make a play (you see that several times a game by just about every other team in the NFL).

OL hasn't been great. no doubt. But when they give him time he is still just a bad QB.

That pretty well sums up Jimmy Clausen and his play,or lack thereoff.

#911869 Which game will be less pleasant to go to: vs. Atlanta or vs. Arizona?

The Arizona game because we stand a good chance of winning it,not so much the Atlanta game.

#908522 Poll: Should Panthers take Luck in NFL draft?

Posted by KatsAzz on 06 December 2010 - 08:00 AM

If we want to ever be a consistent top 10 NFL team, then yes,we should draft Stanford QB Andrew Luck if given that choice.

#903070 Gruden to "The U" rumors are heating up...again.

Hopefully Chucky signs with Miami,so it will be one less coach we have to worry about coming to Carolina.

#901416 NCAA: Cam Newton is eligible

Posted by KatsAzz on 01 December 2010 - 04:21 PM

yeah I have trouble buying that Cam knew nothing about it, though I would believe he shouldn't be held accountable for the actions of his father.

My exact thoughts and i'm glad they finally resolved the situation.

I am now wondering if RB Deangelo Williams, who will be a free agent after the season, could have played his last game here barring a contract extension?

#854002 Lets say Matt Moore has a few bad games..

Posted by KatsAzz on 04 November 2010 - 08:25 PM

The season is shot,so now is a good time to play different players and prepare for the future.
However, that kind of call would have to come from higher up because Fox will try to win all he can, hoping to pad his resume for his next coaching position.
